Hi

I just got email today asking me to submit IMM 1344 within 30 days
I reviewed the one I submitted and it looks complete to me

in the letter they didnt explain what is missing
I am lost of what to do

I will have to wait till Monday to call them to understand

Did anyone have similar issue

I am from Quebec

One possible issue is that I sent the older version ? but my application was received on May 27 so before the new version was even created
Also by mistake I ticked on question 8 which they say I shouldnt answer but the document refuse to unselect the answer . could it be the reason ?

here is the part from the email

IMM 1344: A current, completed and signed Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) with completed eligibility assessment
questions. Sponsors who reside or intend to reside in Quebec do not need to complete Questions 8, 9, 10 or 15 on this form. Please note that the Principal Applicant listed on the IMM0008 must also be also listed in Part 1, question 4 of the IMM1344. This form must be completed by you, the sponsor, and co-signer if applicable, and the person you want to sponsor. Would add that there are significant co-pays in most provinces for things like rehab hospitals, public nursing homes. Canadians pay with their CPP, OAS, GIS. It will be up to the children to pay for the bed fee.

Eye exams, Rx costs are usually mostly covered after 65. There can be both co-pays and deductibles. Glasses and contact lens are not covered. Only a portion of things like hearing aids are covered. That is a couple thousand in many cases and they only last for around 5 years. Costco is actually the best place to get hearing aids in Canada. They have an audiologist it is very professional. Dental can be extremely expensive. Things like incontinence supplies can be multiple hundred per month. As the the proportion of adults increases in Canada would be prepared for less help and coverage versus more. I would prepare to shoulder more costs when budgeting.

You really need to look at your province. It isn’t consistent between provinces.

Different in every province in the matter of drug coverage. In Ontario for example, There are different programs. Trillium is one of them, which pays for low income family drugs with some deductibles based on their family income (%4 of total family income will be paid by the person). For people over the age of 65 the same program or ODB (Ontario drug benefit) will pay for their drugs with an annual deductible which will be charge every August.(About $100). These are programs for people that reside and live in Ontario with a valid health card and is not social assistant. As long as sponsored person is eligible for these programs the sponsor doesn't have to pay for any drugs, but if they have high income and under 65 then the government won't cover the cost of the drugs and you need to either get a private insurance coverage for them or pay for the drugs yourself.

There is also a charge per Rx as a senior either low or high income. Some pharmacies waive or lower the fee. PGP applicants would never have no cost for Rx drugs.

Hi Guys,

I've been following different forums on Canada Visa since my PR days. I am so thankful to be a part of such helpful community. I was wondering if anyone from the forum can offer me an advice regarding the following concern.
My application recieved date is May 24th
but I got additional documents request on August 8th and I sent them the documents on 9th and haven't recieved any response from them
My question is whether I should call IRCC up to confirm the status of the application since it's been a week since I had sent the documents via email or should I wait for a few weeks. I'm certain my email works since I've always been getting their feedback on that email.
I understand that patience is the key but just want to be cautious here.
Appreciate your response. :)
