Very frustrating indeed friend. They even requested a form which we have already completed and uploaded months ago so I also need to try call IRCC to confirm why we need to re-upload.

They often, it seems, ask for the same forms again (Schedule A especially) to check that nothing has changed... afterall, it was a year ago! For example, address, job/status, relationship/marriage etc.

I just wish they would hurry up a bit more, now that I am beyond the 1 year mark. I used the web form to contact LVO and this was their reply:

"Please be advised that your application will soon be sent for background checks. Each case is different, and the length of time required for background checks will vary based on a number of factors including an applicant’s background and history. As these checks are conducted by partner agencies, we unfortunately have no control over how long they take to complete."

So, they have to start the fun part yet : )

That's all a bit weird. Pre-arrival is usually a good sign - but, if you're well-travelled, you'll have a short delay while they do one last check I guess. Hang in there!

I guess I should be in this group. I thought I was June. Anyway, we have no update since last August 2018 from the Warsaw office. ECAS still saying "in processing". I try not to think about our case too much and just live our life. But hard to know when we will be back in Canada.

Bit of an interesting insight I got from an immigration lawyer/ consultant. I mentioned that on our 12 month mark we were requested to send in more proof of common law, bills, statements etc. Apparently this is due to an internal quality assurance audit which is happening within IRCC (specifically LVO) They happen a couple of times a year and this one is focused specifically on common law applications.

Just a heads up for any of my common law app brothers and sisters.

Hopefully we will all be posting good news within the next few weeks.

No, we have not received pre-arrival. We ordered our notes and it only showed old stuff from a couple of year ago. Our rep contacted them and said our application is still be processed. Oh, shit really!! I have tried to contact an MP but they never get back to us. All we can do is wait... I know that VO is VERY SLOW
