The rumor said the end of 2019. No one knows, especially under Canadian efficiency.

@robertp @DC1018 Quick update : I am a may 7 applicant . I have already received DM for sponsor on July 26. However on July 22 we were asked to submit my Dad's death certificate which we sent by fax on July 31. Today on 9th August , I see an update on my cic that they have received the additional documents. Tagging Robert and DC1018 as you have helped with me with a question a few day ago in regards to this.

Today I have received Biometrics letter in my parent's MyCIC account. Please update.

So another case, My parents have been here in Canada since Jun 2017 on Supervisa . Still I got Biometrics request. Does anybody has requested CIC to reconsider this request? Just want to know. My parents has US Vis a and I can get this done at Fargo which is only 3:30 Hr drive so concern. Only thing is they dont have appointment until Aug 26, 2019

I would suggest to book an appointment atleast for the date you are getting. As others suggested don't waste your time by sending request. Once biometric is done, It will get updated in 1 day in their system so still you will be under their 1 month notice. Requesting now to get an extension will not do anything until unless you are not getting an appointment till 9th sept.

Book an appointment and take a small tour of Fargo and enjoy summer time. lol

Hi everyone, my application was received on May 7th. I also got an AOR letter and was able to link my application in IRCC portal but my status still says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.". I'm also seeing estimated completion date as May 7, 2021

I see some people who sent their application after me have received decision made. Is anyone in a similar situation?

You’re lucky that your parents has US Visa. My father doesn’t have US visa but he has a return ticket to home country Philippines that I just rescheduled the earliest I can get which is on Monday then he already got a VFS appointment on August 15.
Book that schedule now.

Ok, at this point we can confidently say that parents that are living in Canada on super/visitor visa are not exempt from biomedics even though Canada has no tools to collect it here. Is that correct?

Nothing so far. MyCIC says application received (Apr 28th) and ECAS says "we sent you a letter July ~19".

I am just a bit worried if they requested a document and gave me 30 days I probably won't make the deadline. However, I do not want to call and be on the phone for an hour or so. I will probably wait until next week before I call. How about you? still waiting too?

They sent you a letter on July 19. You have to call them as soon as possible so you can find out what is that letter about if it is document request you only got till August 19 to submit.

Oh I see. Ecas says application received.

I just checked, they started Aug 6 but was not updated when I checked yesterday in Ecas.

See the bright side your application is directly go to DM . Bio letter means DM for sponsor .

Yes Thats right.. Also I am happy and have no problem to do Bio.. At the same time wanted to update community that random processing is going on for Bio request.
