Went to the ASC in Helena, Montana about a 6 hour drive from Calgary as that was the closest one to us. Crossed the boarder at Carway and told the boarder agents we were going sightseeing.
The staff at the ASC in Helena were really nice and we were done in 15 mins, then the 6 hour drive back to Calgary with no issues coming back across the boarder. You need your biometrics request letter before you can book an appointment and the appointments are only available 2 weeks in advance, they don't allow walk-in's.

If parents and grandparents who possess the temporary resident super visa or letter of introduction have a stamp in their passport with no handwritten date, or if they have no stamp, then the period of authorized stay is 2 years from the date of entry.

When you send appl to MIDI ? do you remember date when you apply to MIDI?

Okay I received a request to add dependent to form IMM 0008 (put 2 ppl instead of 1)
So if I will make this change, the Financial evaluation form that I submitted initially will be no longer valid
Called to cic today- they said that if the officer requested just IMM 0008 than send just that and that is it.
Should I make a step forward and send the updated evaluation form as well ?

I did not get BIO request before ECAS updated to Sponsor DM. Does this mean my parents don't need BIO?

In IMM 0008 I mentioned only 1 person in question #3 and did not mention my dad as a dependent( as he is Canadian citizen).
In Evaluation I put 4 ppl :
-Myself
- My spouse
- Baby
- Mother.

Cic asked to add my mother's spouse to IMM 0008 and that is it(

Got an email from CIC Mississauga asking me to get IMM 5669 hand signed. The form does say they accept electronic signature. As a part of that email I did get to know my application number I guess. Trying to link it online but in vain. Will try again in a few weeks.

people who got police certificate request.......can you please share the letter CIC sent you? I wonder what the timeline is and how old documents are accepted to CIC if they have mentioned it at all.

My parents are coming to Canada in a week and I want to know if they should ask for PC now or should they wait until the letter comes and get a more up to date one.
