Application Received (Sydney): November 30, 2018
AOR 1: January 24, 2019
Medical Test request: January 29, 2019
SA decision: January 30, 2019
Medical Results Received: February 15, 2019
Medical Test passed: March 8, 2019
Background Check Completed: July 18, 2019
Passport Request: July 22, 2019
Passport Request: July 26, 2019

Did your file transferred to a VO or got PPR from Sydney ?

I never got any email/notification about my file transfer and I was thinking my file was still in Sydney office.

On July 19th, I spoke to CIC customer care and came to know that my file was moved to mississauga office in May and my background check was completed on July 18th.

Even though I got my PP request, my GCkey still says that background, eligibility test is still in process.

I am not sure what the actual procedure is, when speaking with the customer care rep I was informed that eligibility, background check is completed and the final decision has been made as well. He also mentioned, I will see the updates soon in my GCkey but no change as of today.

What is the point of Ecas or cgkey if nothing is ever updated until you land as usaul 0 transparency or compassion for the families involved here. Our file was transferred to London July 16th according to email but still 0 updates as of August 2nd online.

My guess is the file is just sitting somewhere until they have time to look at it. You are right, the cgkey is useless. I was expecting to see a progress report at each stage of the application but it looks like the page has not been updated since it was created. Our file was transferred to Warsaw in March and we have heard nothing since.

Of course the file is just sitting somewhere it has done that for a minimum of 3 months between every step of the process.

My guess is by other forums it will be equally as long.

From what I see files are processed in close to half time or overtime so yes my guess is over a year I dont think I'm wrong but hope I am.

But before I was reading file transfers maximum few months after received in Sydney, I noticed from this forum that it is mostly starting from November 2018 it took 7-8 months for file transfer to London or Mexico... so I am very hopeful not much longer than a year... but who knows?!

Hey,

Yes, i got the medical request and medical passed, also on July 25th,
Background Check is progress, eligibility criteria approved, and
i got the file transferred to New Delhi visa Office.

Much relieved at this point, now i have some hope that the processing might complete within 12 months timeframe.

Just waiting for AOR2 from new delhi at this point.
I am sure how much time Visa office take to process the application.

By the way do you know do we contact Visa office for updates?

Just a quick question, I am the principal applicant, my husband (the sponsor) received an email for file transfer to London visa office on 2nd July. I have personally not received any correspondence from the visa office since. However, on ECAS, it says that the application started processing on 05 July. Should I be expecting any correspondence in regards to the file transfer or not?

Hi,

It depends,
If your husband is your representative and if you have authorized your husband for dealing with application than he will get all the email for correspondence.
If your husband is not your representative and you have said that you will deal with the application than you will get the correspondence.
