Hi all,
Can we show the entire amount that we have in PF for proof of funds or is there any limit on how much we can use in it .
For example if I have to show 25k cad for proof of funds and I have 10k in my PF account can I use the entire 10k or is there any limit on how much we can show as POF from PF ?

My employer has mentioned only the last held designation in my reference letter but in my service I have held three positions all with the same roles and reaponsibilities?
Do I have to get a letter from a colleague and attach it with details in LOE or is that letter with the last held position enough?
Kindly confirm

No your reference letter must include all positions held while employed at the agency. It is clearly mentioned on CIC's official website under work experience proof section for PR applications.

If you have appoinment letters for these positions or promotion letters that will work as well.

Well the employer doesn't provide any other info apart from the last held position
I do have the appointment letter but I do not have the promotion letter
Would a letter from the colleague and getting it notarised suffice ?

Don't use just PF to show your funds, it should be secondary option and only if you don't have enough money in your savings/FD a/c.
if you have enough funds available with you, that means easily accessible/withdraw-able then show it along with PF. Amount of money in PF shouldn't matter if you are showing other primary sources as well.

-Yes you can get another letter from Colleague regarding other positions. But make sure you submit the letter from your employer too. Ask employer to include this info via email. Even if he/she says no atleast you will have a proof to show CIC later if they choose to inquire more regarding this matter later. Include the explaination in LOE.
-Uploading appoinment letters of these positions will be another way to account for them as that letter will have starting date, job title and other details. To make your case strong you can explain about them in the letter yourself.

I know some people who got away with not mentioning their previous positions especially if they were under same agency with similar pay. But CIC may choose to call your employer to confirm you work experience and if they mention them then yoh can be in trouble. So it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Check the videos in the link first. you could be waisting your money paying for a re-evaluation. Figure out what it was you did wrong.

I chose celpip for it being computerized, cheaper, more testing opportunities, and the expressed rating.

When it comes to writing I often see literal translations in non-native English speaking people. Germans are notorious for saying “see us tomorrow” because that is what they say in German.

I see a lot of people here saying “I gave ielts/celpip”. You don’t give a test/exam. You sit a test/exam. i have no idea where the idea of “giving” a test comes from. Maybe it’s a literal translation from another language?

Those examples are basic things. And it’s the basic that will get you. Don’t over analyze. Don’t try to be super advanced if your basic English isn’t where it should be. Keep it simple and correct instead of advanced and screwed up. It’s so easy to get tangled up in complex sentence constructions, and misuse of advanced vocabulary and idioms.

Over analyzing is exactly what I did first time in the writing part. I had a good answer but blew it on how I answered it.

If you understand what the question is asking of you and how the question wants you to answer, half the battle is won.
Wow. I wish you are somewhere near and I had a chance to learn from you. This is valuable advice and I will sure try as you said next time. Hope things work out for me. I am losing my points in a week because of Birthday and will be sitting at 453. Have to do something about it.
Thank you so much.

@Rose1207 I was reading your posts earlier regarding language score. You can try using grammerly website. It can be added as an extension to your chrome. Or just practise writing on this website. It helped me a lot when I was preparing for IELTS. :)

I will start right away. Thank you. I live in a small city in Canada and it’s very hard to find a tutor or classes like we have in India. And I can speak well and Listen well, but only get trouble when it comes to IELTS/Celpip writing or reading (I go deep and read every details and run out of time always)
I will use grammerly for sureZ hope that helps.
