Don't use just PF to show your funds, it should be secondary option and only if you don't have enough money in your savings/FD a/c.
if you have enough funds available with you, that means easily accessible/withdraw-able then show it along with PF. Amount of money in PF shouldn't matter if you are showing other primary sources as well.

I need help regarding NOC code.I am business intelligence developer working with db and reporting tools.I have selected NOC code as 2172.Is this correct or shall i select some other NOC code?
I got OINP but before starting application wanted to confirm about the NOC code.
Check your duties by NOC at cic website, make sure your reference letter have atleast 70% duties on the NOC your are applying for to avoid trouble.

My employer has mentioned only the last held designation in my reference letter but in my service I have held three positions all with the same roles and reaponsibilities?
Do I have to get a letter from a colleague and attach it with details in LOE or is that letter with the last held position enough?
Kindly confirm
Should be fine as long as the NOC and duties in refrence letter matches. Make sure your data is in sync everywhere.

Wow. I wish you are somewhere near and I had a chance to learn from you. This is valuable advice and I will sure try as you said next time. Hope things work out for me. I am losing my points in a week because of Birthday and will be sitting at 453. Have to do something about it.
Thank you so much.
Thanks!

I used to teach conversational English back in my birth country. I also used to work with translating texts. I Almost have no accent when I speak. (People think I’m Canadian, English or Irish.) Read fluently. My grammar sucks as being raised with three languages, and then studied another 2, I confuse the grammar.

I wish I remembered more from my 4 years of French studies, almost 40 years ago. That would help today. There is no way I could sit a TEFL and get a single point.

My job duties only match 40% with NOC. But reference letter states NOC code in it Also, my job title matches with title under NOC and I have qualification for the job. Do you guys think I will be fine?
I think you’ll be fine. A lot of people here are saying you need to match like 70-80% of the duties listed. But for some professions that’s just not practical. I’m in NOC 1111 and I work at a big 4 firm. Most of my colleagues as well as people in the industry in general only concentrate on a specific field to build our expertise. I can probably only match 40%of the duties listed.

The duties list is supposed to be general and comprehensive and IMHO as long as your daily duties make sense, your job title matches the NOC, you’ll most likely be fine.

What document relating to current employment do we need to submit after receiving ITA ?
I don't want my current employer to know that, I will be resigning 5-6 months down the line.

You may submit your payslips, a letter of joining, and any letter that shows your job responsibilities (maybe you received 1 at the time of joining)

I feel that in such cases being as transparent with the current employer about your plans to move in the next 6 months or so is helpful. Most employers and good leaders are sympathetic and understanding of your decision to leave your country in search of a better life elsewhere.

The problem is only "most" are.. not all.. and at times attitude towards employee of a manager changes ones they know that you'd be separating soon..

Thank you very much for your reply.
I am developmental service worker. Noc 4212 clearly states dsw under it and so does my reference letter. I also went to college for developmental Service worker. So I do fulfill all the responsibilies a dsw is supposed to do. But NOC 4212 also have many other community service worker jobs under it so my duties were not matching, 60-70%. It was making me so stressed.
Don't worry too much about 60% or 70% or 80%.
There is no "official requirement" to match a certain percentage of main duties. In general, of course, the more the better.

Jurisprudence has established that "more than one" of the main duties must be matched, instead of "more than half". Please see A'Bed v. Canada https://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/40034/index.do

In the end it is up to the reasonable judgment of the case officer whether a sufficient amount of duties is matched. It is our job to convince them as effective as possible.
