how do you know if your files were transferred from canada to local (Manila) visa office? does CIC send an email notification to informing you of the file transfer?

Yep they will email both the applicant and the sponsor,
Thanks the prompt response! Here is my timeline so far:

MPNP Paper-Based Outland
AR - Jan 4 2018
AOR - Feb 15 2018
MR - Apr 2 2019
MP - Apr 28 2019
DM (in ECAS) - on or before May 10 2019 - not exactly sure bec I dont check regularly and there was no email notification

Current status in GCKEY/CIC site - BGC in process. No PPR for over 2 months since MP! CIC lately is also unresponsive to my Webform inquiries.

Since we never got any email notifications of a file transfer to local (Manila) VO, I suppose mine is all processed in Canada - and it's not entirely true that it's faster, as in my case.

Did you try to call them and see what is going on with your file? 19 months and nothing... Did you order the GSMC notes and see why it's taking so long?

I did order GCMS notes twice only. First was received on June 2018; then second was on Feb 2019. I compared both line per line manually and there was very little / minimal change between the first and second srt od notes, no insights worth deducing - disappointed, I no longer tried to order GCMS notes again since then.

I am really just relying on prayers now. :)

Usually it’s either they will request addtl docs or dm then ppr.

Brace yourself tho that your time frame with mvo will either be fast or take few more months (even if bgc in progress alone will take a while)

If it's only DM/PPR and no additional docs, why they don't do it in CPC-Mississauga? Why they need to send it in MVO?

Based from what i saw in the forums, cpcm follows the review based on triage criteria, if the application doesnt meet all metrics - they automatically send it to local vo.. so it’s really case to case basis.

Could you give some examples of applications that don't meet all metrics?
