Still waiting for AIP and mine doesn't say that background has started yet.
57 days left and no update after SA.

BGC has not started/ no other update. The agent on the phone said that the file was transferred to the local office on April 24.
So it's more than 2 months and no updates from them.

Received GCMS notes as well (month old data) and has no valuable insight

Hello All
Following is my timeline which I shared earlier.

  • Application Received at CPC-Mississauga AUG 21, 2018
  • Medical Request on NOV 02, 2018
  • Medical Passed NOV 30, 2018
  • Sponsor Approval (SA) APR 05, 2019
  • Decision made (ECAS) JUNE 14, 2019

TODAY

So I got an email with a landing interview letter on June 19, 2019. It stated that I have an appointment for a landing interview on 5th July 2019. In that letter, they asked for standard documents such as two recent photographs, passport, SIN.

However, yesterday (June 29, 2019), we had a physical mail in our mailbox from the Immigration office which was dated June 12, 2019. The letter states that I have met the eligibility requirement but also asked for additional documents. These are
1) IMM 0008 Generic Application form,
2) IMM 5669 Schedule A Background/Declaration form,
3) Police certificates (for countries I lived in for more than 6 months since the age of 18 years),
4) Immigration medical Exam,
5) Receipt of Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

One thing for sure I know that I had not received this letter between June 12, 2019, to June 19, 2019. It has come after it and as I said earlier I saw it in my mailbox yesterday. I am super confused now that If they needed the above-mentioned documents then why would they issue me a landing interview letter a week later? Also, I did submit my medical when my application was in progress upon THEIR own request and it appeared as PASSED later on. Now I am just 5 days away from interview day. Should I get the documents along with me anyway?? In that case, I won't get the Police certificate and Medical exam in 5 days. Could this just be a mistake from them? Please guide asap.

just take all the documents but don’t say anything unless they ask for it... if they don’t ask then consider yourself lucky and just finish the landing interview

Thank you . Does that mean that I can apply for health card already ?
Yes .... print out the requirements on the website and walk with it. I applied two weeks ago, they were telling no. But I took the requirements with me printed and told them this is what is on your website. take this letter and the IDs required. Go to a full service Service Ontario.

I’m starting to get worried, next month is the 12 months mark and my background check hasn’t even started.
Is someone else the same?
I’m the same. BGC not started
