So just got off call and the agent says my BG checks are still in progress :( but the officer has my file in queue and is waiting for checks to complete.

When I asked her why my BG checks are taking so long and security still not started. She says BG checks and security are one and the same. They're like branches of a tree

Everything on my file looks good and nothing is flagged. The officer keeping my file in queue is a good sign because he is expecting the checks to complete soon, however, it is taking longer than usual and maybe that's why my application is delayed.
How are you able to call them? When I dial my application # the recorded voice says that "the system was unable to find my application" and it hangs up before giving me the option to talk to an agent.

Hi there, here is a silent reader's post.

My timeline:
CEC inland, 2 dependants
PFRF paid upfront
AOR: mid of November
Medical OK: mid of December
IP2 somewhere in February I think
ADR at the end of February for employment and education details
Silence
PPR: June 20 in the evening

I have requested GCMS notes in March, got it in May, there was nothing really helpful.
My visa center was Edmonton or Ottawa, I didn't understand it clearly.
I've called IRCC 3 times:
1) end of January: eligibility recommended pass, criminality passed, the background check is not started
2) after 6 months passed, the officer said everything looks normal, eligibility is met, the background check is in process and that he will send a reminder to someone responsible for my case.
3) after 7 months, the officer said everything looks normal, but he will not be sending a reminder.

I had no ghost update before getting the golden email. After I got it I had a ghost update. My online account says that they are doing my background check and reviewing the additional documents I've provided.

Thank you all for sharing your progress, I was reading this forum a lot. Good luck guys and girls.

Congrats!!!
Could you please confirm if you received the PPR or a landing interview ?
I was under the assumption that inland applicants will receive a landing interview rather than the PPR

So yesterday I received my GCMS notes, at least these arrived on time, even 3 days before then what had been promised!

Eligibility: Met
Security: Not started
Criminality: Not started
Due Date: 2019/06/20 (LOL)

The last note was from the Case processing agent, on January 14th, the same day I was asked to pay RPRF, which basically states that everything is in order. No flags, no RR. Nothing. Seems that they didn't touch the file since January, at least until the day I ordered the notes.

There's only one thing that is worrying me and it's related to the proof of funds. I have my money split into two bank accounts from two different banks. Back when I was preparing my documents and requested the letters from the banks one of them issued the letter without any trouble, whereas the other one just refused to do so (I tried everything, but it was impossible, they are very stubborn). In the bank that agreed to issue the letter, I have a balance of $14,400 CAD (according to today's exchange rate) in the other bank I have around 5,000 CAD more. So basically with the amount of the first bank, I'm more or less $2,000 above the minimum required for 1 single applicant.

But obviously, I tried my best to prove that I have around $19.000 CAD (And I have a little bit more now since I've been saving, but the agent can't know this), just to be super sure that market fluctuations couldn't affect me. So what I did was upload the last 6 bank statements from the second account (notarized and translated) I didn't try transferring money from bank #2 to bank #1, because it would have been hard to support a last-moment transfer of $5,000, and I thought it might look suspicious.

The thing is that in the notes the agent only mentions the first bank account, there's not even a mention of the second bank account, he states "Appears to meet CAD $14142.40 - Family of one requires CAD $12475" This amount corresponds only to my first bank account.

The fact that the second account isn't mentioned means that he didn't accept it as enough prove?

Should I do something??? Is $2,000 a risky margin? I fear Donald Trump and his Twitter account :( (He jeopardized my country's economy big time a couple of weeks ago)

Any thoughts??

It feels pretty shitty since gathering, notarizing and translating the 6 bank statements from bank #2 was what took me the most time back when I was preparing my application

BTW, @SithLord it seems you already found me on MyImmtracker! (I'm the only Mexican AOR Nov 2nd over there) :p

Hey, typically how long does it takes to get your profile updated after ready for visa mail? I got the mail on 19th and 4 days later still nothing has changed on my profile, it still says we are processing etc.
I am getting a bit confused here.
Is this normal?

Yes. The profile is updated after COPR is printed. So, will happen once you send your passport and they issue one time visa and COPR.

It was on letterhead signed by the HR.

My HR was a nice man, when writing down my job duties he used the CIC website as reference.

I'm still not sure why they asked additional employment records.
Maybe your reference letter became too close to the ones on CIC website. That makes officers suspicious and they ask for more proofs.

I called CIC today to ask for an update on my case since I'll be 7 months post AoR on the 25th. The agent said my eligibility is under review required. I asked him how long that would take and of course he said he doesn't know. Everything was going fine until I asked him to confirm where my VO is. Since I applied in Japan I put Manilla as my VO when raising a webform. The first time I did the information was not updated and I had to call CIC to have to check and have it done. I raised another webform over 10 days ago and still no response. For these reasons I asked the agent today if he could confirm where my VO is. He said he could not give out that information. Now I've been watching multiple threads on this forum to know that's a lie because other people have received that information easily.I got very upset with him because he kept suggesting I raise a webform but wouldn't help me find out where my VO is so I could do it properly. He had the nerve to call me impatient. I'm not like others who call CIC every other day for an update so I didn't appreciate him being so rude. This is only the 2nd time I've called them. I'm never going to call again and I'm going to move on with life and apply for a job in my home country. I don't want to order gcms notes because I don't trust giving my private information to third party website and waiting over a month to receive the results. I'm truly sick and tired of this damn process.

When I received ADR for employment

I submitted offer letter, relieving letter, recent 6 months pay slips, updated experience letter, salary certificate and a letter stating I was exempt from tax
@SithLord - bro is it possible for me to call you and discuss if you don’t mind - May I have your contact number?

I already have a consultant and all docs were in place.

Probably my query was not properly explained and everyone is misunderstanding me.

for 2 months work exp. I got a very basic letter from the company which wasn't serving the purpose of job descriptions that I needed. So I got it from one of the managers and got it from his official email id. Scanned and made him sign it, scanned and then submitted it along with his business card from work.
Did not mention why I got it from the manager and not from office letter head by HR because it was difficult to explain in LOE that due to office politics, the senior management did not wish to help me. This was suggested by our consultant as they said writing such in LOE will get unwanted attention on the letter.

now as I only know there is an RR in Eligibility, I am wondering it is because of this letter as it is not from the HR.
I don’t know whether this has been answered but I am sure I read it on IRCC website: one year of work experience in your primary NOC is required. You should be good. You can have work experience under different NOCs. I had three
