Just curious.. i did leave the country last year September.. returned on September 28th.. passed the border and all that.. i assume that i got a tourist Visa right then as well I'd say.. which would mean that my tourist Visa would be until March 28th, after that I'd be out of status but wouldnt that mean that I could still apply for restoration ? 90 days after should be June 28th then..

No. You didn't enter as a visitor. You entered as a worker, on the same work permit that expired in Feb.
