I would suggest you to figure out if there is any scope to enhance your existing score. If you've no other option left to increase your score, then you would need to wait for sometime.

Currently, I can't surely predict for folks with 449 score since the backlog is huge. But, if CIC start rolling out 3900 ITA's on every fortnight draw from July onward, then you can expect your turn by end of September or 1st week of October.

Guys I have a query, my documents were accepted by WES on June 14. It says your report is due by July 5.

Are there any chances that after acceptance they will send documents to university for secondary verification or I will receive the report on the promised date.

I have read somewhere on the forum that they change the status to secondary verification pending even 1 day before report due date.

Really tensed now, did it happen with someone. Please help guys.
It is highly unlikely that WES will send your marksheets / degrees for secondary verification of documents, after it is "accepted". But, also the status shown in WES account changes from time to time and can also go back to "On Hold" after "In Progress". Best is to keep checking the status daily.

Also, WES sends a mail confirming acceptance of your documents; as under -

This is to advise you that we have received all required documents to prepare your evaluation report.

  • Your evaluation will be completed based on all documents accepted by WES.
  • No additional changes to your evaluation type or to the study evaluated will be allowed from this point.
  • To ensure that your evaluation is delivered to you please verify your mailing address or update your address immediately at My Account.
  • If you want to upgrade your delivery choices, please make the update immediately to ensure your order is processed in time.
  • To track the status of your report, please visit My Account.
Thank you for choosing WES for your credential evaluation.

Guys, what is your analysis of a 450 score, do you think it's sensible to sit with this score and wait to see if the score takes a dip at the end of the year? I can get a 6 points boost by getting top bands in IELTS, and hence I'm considering whether it's worth it or not.

Second case is highly improbable. There can not be two b2b draws.

Ideal scenario will be a draw on 3rd July after 19th June.

But prior observation has shown that a b2b draw is usually followed by a three weeks draw. I hope CIC breaks away with that trend.
If there are 3 weeks gap after B2B , again the CRS will shoot up:( . So it's better to have bi weekly draws with more num of ITAs.

This is what I wrote on my last post:

I want to share my personal story from the last few weeks of roller coaster emotion, hopefully it will help motivate someone reading the forum.
I took the CELPIP test in May, the results are:
L 11, R 12, S 8, W 9 (mine)
L 8, R 12, S 8, W 8 (spouse)

As you may notice my S score is below the magic number of 9, my CRS score was 398 (far beyond hope). Immediately I decided on 2 things, the first one is an option to have a re-evaluation of the score and I had my S test re-evaluated by CELPIP for a fee. The second and more drastic effort, I immediately booked an IELTS test just for myself 3 hours away from where I live for June 1st.

Two things happened after that, first, my re-evaluation was completed after two weeks and CELPIP changed my S score from 8 to 9 and my CRS score changed from 398 to 455. Just today I checked my IELTS results online and my score is L 8.5, R 8.5, W 7.5, S 7.5, which brings my score from 455 to 461. These scores are still under the cutoff, therefore no ITAs yet but I’m inching closer.

That little thing called hope, if we can find it within ourself will keep us going. However small it is, keep going for our time will come. My birthday is July 28, where I will lose 5 points so I’m hoping that there will be 2-3 draws until then and that I will make the cutoff.

Again, my intention sharing this is so that whoever out there is contemplating on booking that extra test, getting that extra credentials evaluated, or whatever the case may be can find that little push to just do it. Good luck friends and I wish us all the best!

If there's still a chance that you can get your CRS score up, why not?

The 460+ group is increasing in numbers. Does this mean upcoming draw will still have high cut off? :(

Three things.
1. You are not legally married, so to say that you both are married to each other, would be complete lying leading to straightaway getting banned for misrepresentation. (Though you can show that you guys are living together as a couple i.e a common law union, but that 'd need documentary evidence).

2. 453 is a good score. It would surely be up for grab before the year ends, probably in the beginning of the last quarter of the year. So, if you can wait, you should (since you guys are very young, waiting shouldn't be a concern for you).

3. Life as a student is harder and costlier. You 'd become more of a burden on her in case you chose to join her later on a student visa. Not recommended.

Besides, you ll be getting a student visa just in order to facilitate a pathway to permanent residency (which is guaranteed to take a minimum of 2 years).

Now why do that, when you can achieve that already, either with her help or on your own!

Solution(s) - Either get married and then later be sponsored by her, or apply on your own.

Or maybe let her try to increase the scores first so that if you accompany her, the points won't be lowered much.

Also, you can explore open work permit options (I have heard that there is a spousal work permit option too, not sure though).

P.S - Those are just my opinions. If you still want a student visa for some reason, don't be dissuaded from what I said. It's your life, not mine. :)

Hey @NikSharma01 did you get your IELTS results??
Hey dear,
It was not upto the mark. Thanks for asking.
I've got outstanding scores by maxing out in L & R, but got less scores in S & W. So, I'm having a neutral feeling. Even though I was not satisfied with my own performance in these two.

BTW, Will book it again, but this time I will prefer CBT instead of the PBT. Will do that after some preparations only.

Anyways, how's your preparations going?
