Hi guys!

My wife is in a foreign government job (experience 5+ years), and wants to gain some more experience and do a post graduation course before shifting to canada.

My CRS score is high if I apply through the non-accompanying spouse option. I can also justify the same to the immigration officer. The only drawback I see is that I will have to go through the spouse sponsorship program after I get the PR.

Any idea how long will it take for sponsoring my spouse, after I get a PR and land a job in canada??

Hey dear, I have made an estimation before when we were hoping there would be a draw last Wednesday on 5th June, but I will put the data again


My estimation based on 24th May score distribution is below:
CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of May 24, 2019
CRS score range Number of candidates
601-1,200 729
451-600 4,624
441-450 5,872

Means in 14 days from May 10th to May 24th there were about:

601-1,200: (729-317= 412/14days = 29profile/day

451-600: (4624-1668=2957/14days = 211profile/day)

441-450: (5872-5360 = 510/14days = 36profile/day

So, by 29th May, the distribution will be approximately:

600-1200: 729 + 145 (29profile x 5days) = 874

451-600: 4,624 + 1055(211profilex5days ) = 5679

441-450: 5872 + 180(36profilex5day) =6052

Number of nvitation issued on 29th May is 3350. So, the 874profile with 600+points would have all received ITA. (3350-874 =2476)

Remaining 2476 will be taken from 451-600point range. So 5679-2476= 3203.

Therefore, after the invitation,the score distribution will be:

600+ = 0
451-600 =3203
441-450=6052

By 12th June, the score will be approximately:

600+= 406 (29profile x14days)
451-600= 3203+ 2954(211x14) =6157
441-450=6052 + 504(36x14)=6556

I believe that those 3203 profiles(451-600range) left in the pool after the 29th May are those who have score of 470-451.

After the 12th June draw the score distribution should be:

With 3350ITAs
600+= 0
451-600= 3213 (6157-2944)
441-450=6556

With 3500ITAs
600+= 0
451-600= 3063(6157-3094)
441-450=6556

With 3900ITAs
600+= 0
451-600= 2663(6157-3494)
441-450=6556

I can't estimate the cutoff score as it depends on the density of the 451-600 score. All I know is If CIC really have a target of issuing 90,000 ITAs this year then with the 14 draws left to go, they will have to issue approximately 3,900 ITAs per draw from this coming Wednesday iif they really want to achieve the target. Currently, they had issued 35100 ITAs (2x3900 + 8x3350 + 500 FST) since January, so 54900 ITAs to go divided by 14 draws = 3921 ITAs. Therefore, it will be faster for the cutoff score to go back below 450. If they stick with 3350 then unfortunately, it might take 4draws atleast to reach 450 again especially with the high number of high scorers enter the pool daily.

I Am showing 22k cad but all as a gift from my father, any issue in this?

No. Get the gift deed registered.
It's totally valid and the money so transferred to you need not be 3/6 months older. Fresh transfer 'd do too.

Also, make sure the funds he transfer to you are a declared asset and not money saved in cash, never mentioned of in ITR's.
CIC won't have an issue either way, but the tax dogs would be hot chasing on your trail here. They sniff blood when they see hard cash popping up on their radars. Lol

But, we've been noticing that there're few discussions happening between couple of folks and unnecessarily, adding least valuable posts to this thread. We all understand everyone has their own way of expressing things and definitely, opinions may differ from each other. But, at the end, let's RESPECT each other's view and appreciate. Trust me, getting ITA is just one of the step for this long PR process. You never know, when you would need assistance in your next steps and nobody will come forward and help you for your queries (be in watsapp group, forum or other platforms). It's a small world and we all are almost active in many platforms.

To reiterate, we all are here for a purpose and everyone knows that we all striving for canadian dream. It's very important to maintain the decorum of the forum and help each other. If you don't know the answer, please don't jump in or answer to any query. This may cause huge damage to anyone's application.

Moreover, please avoid any negative posts too. Trust me, we had to block so many profiles since January to avoid negativity because they were not adding any value to this forum. They're active still and try to spread negativity with their posts by creating different profiles. Solution? Let's simply IGNORE!!

Anyways, Today is a great day for all of us since 99.99% draw will happen and it will bring joy to so many of us (who'll get ITA) and disappointment to those who'll miss it by few points and will wait till the next draw to happen. Not to forget, today's draw will give more strength to those, who're still waiting for their turns to come.

I really like the line “don’t provide any suggestion on assumptions or without 100% knowledge, it may cause a rejection to the candidate even after getting ITA”
Although I believe that negative posts should be allowed with proper data and logical explanations ie we should not turn deaf ear to negative reality

I not sure..but from my knowledge it's like after 3 months of ur landing u can start ur sponsorship program..it ll take upto one year. U might need ur salary slips tax returns to prove financially strong enough to sponsor ur wife.

The Tax returns will be available only after end of fiscal year. Salary slips on the other hand can be made available after 3 months or longer..

Okay so this might seem unprecedented and peculiar but this is a real thing that happened.

One of my friends entered EE with <450 points in the month of march. Sensing that she won't get an ITA soon nuff, she took the french exam and passed it. That raised her score to 470. She updated the score on 28th April. And the system reflected the new score promptly.

But guess what! Come May 1st draw, and she isn't picked up (the cut off was 450 then)!

She told me this, and I kept arguing with her that this isn't possible and that she might be mistaken, that the score might not have updated or she probably forgot to actually submit here profile after updating, but then she showed me the screenshots from that date (28 april) with her updated score.

This heckin' bamboozled me.
like HOW. IS. THIS. EVEN. POSSIBLE.
Does this happen often?
I mean it's totally okay if it was India and some armchair babu forgot to press the right button because he was intoxicated by his six cups of office 'chaaaiiiii' (and that the lady couldn't timely bring to the table 'ahem', a Sifaaarish ), but come on, is the Canadian system also that unreliable? :/

In the last draw, even though I was not in the pool, the cut off was insane surprise. Praying to god, CIC does not throw any more surprises today apart from increased ITA's. Again so much for my first draw. All the best to everyone.
