he got Decision Made on his sponsorship but not sure if it is an Approal or a Rejection, anyone will be nervous in this case but agree that should not call them repeatedly, it is annoying to them

Impossible that they got decision made at this point after only 6 weeks. Unless they got denied quickly. This is just for sponsor eligibility which is very easy to pass.

can someone confirm for me if maternal benefits is considered as income for meeting LICO? It is a form of EI but it is not due to unemployment, and part of the annual income for my wife

This is a taxable benefits and reported as income in your tax file

As per him, this is the decision on sponsorship eligibility and it is possible even in 2018 lot of people got it in 60 days

Not necessarily. Sponsor Approval happens within couple of weeks from AOR. He submitted his application within two days from the invitation. So his application would be lot faster than 99% of the applications.

There is a huge difference in getting a decision made on your sponsorship versus getting decision made on whether you are eligible to sponsor.

Replied to the comment:”he got Decision Made on his sponsorship but not sure if it is an Approal or a Rejection, anyone will be nervous in this case but agree that should not call them repeatedly, it is annoying to them”

DM on sponsorship is not the same thing as determining whether he is eligible as a sponsor. Yes that can easy be done and is very hard to get refused at that point.

so I was able to reach the agent but got the most useless answer ever, all she can say is that I will receive an email or letter in writing with the decision and she cannot disclose any more details. It makes me soooooo nervous right now, there has not been anything updated yet. I am pretty sure I met all 3 years income and even has my wife as cosigner. Despite repeating asking for details, the agent would not disclose anything, all she says is that I will receive written notification of results. Now I am like standing on fire!

Wow! That's fast! Congratulations!

Keep checking and keep us posted!

Both parents would get their PRs not just one. Usually have 1 year from their medical to land but the expiry date should be on their COPR. Same RO apply to all PRs. Currently it is 2 out of 5 years. Health coverage has separate residency obligations.
if you need to get passport 3/5:rolleyes:
