Work experience

Dear All,

My spouse was working in Vancouver for a NBFC as Financial Service Representative since January 2018 while doing her Masters. She got her work permit on 22nd July 2018. While checking with an immigrantion consultant, they told me that the experience will count only from the day she got the work permit. Last month ie May 2019, she switched to a nationalized bank and currently working as Financial Advisor.

So my question is that on coming 22nd of July 2019, will it count her experience while applying for express entry as she had switched her job before completing 1 year.

Awaiting for your advise on this matter

Thanks.

No, she needs to have one year continous employment with the same employer
This is incorrect. OP's spouse is working in Canada so there is no continuity requirement under the CEC program nor is she required to have her one year of work experience under a single NOC.

Apologies for highjacking the post. My PR application submission date is approaching ( received ITA ) and have few queries. Declining ITA is my last resort.

1) If we have selected “six years or more “ in the FSW eligibility tool , do we have to declare/show six years in the EE profile and post ITA as well ?

2) Can “Six years or more “ in the FSW tool can be counted towards / come from six years experience from multiple nocs ?
Asking this because the following question in the FSW tool says - only one occupation :

In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation.

3) Does a gap of one year after three years experience from the six years makes the FSW eligibility invalid if six years or more has been selected in the FSW tool ? Asking this because the above question states :
It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation.
Example :

Job 1 : 3years
Gap of one year - unemployed
Job 2 : 2 years 4 months
Job 3 : 2 years 11 months

4) I have reached out to

https://www1.canada.ca/en/contact/noc.html

for noc confirmation. Can I rely on their response and go ahead with my noc submission because this is directly coming from the Canada government ?

Trying to do everything on my own hence have these many questions.

Thanks in advance.

hi all,

i have done graduation in 2016 and later i started doing job and still doing so means i have graduation and having years of work experience 3 years currently.

so if i apply my file for Express entry they will consider my 3 years work experience right !!

now if i go for PG diploma or for masters with my work experience and after i file my PR process so did they accept my 3 years work experience or they only consider my masters.

or they will consider graduation+masters+work experience.

my concern is doing PG after getting work experience and then apply a PR for Canada did they will accept my last work experience.

and also did doing PG diploma for 1 years in India is approved in Canada.

and did this comes under Two or more degree program.

please suggest.

graduation+masters+work experience.

It doesnt matter whether you work after or before masters.Just one thing is mentioned on cic website that it should be within last 10 years.

For PG diploma ,check the wes or icqa website to know if the college in which you are planning to study is recognized or not.

hi JamesRodriguez,

thanks for your reply.

i have checked that also and searched the colleges as well and their courses as well.

but how can i be so sure that 1 year PG diploma in india is equivalent and and can also help in increasing my marks in express entry field for two or more degree section.

i.e. 3 year degree + 1 year PG diploma is it valid and also 3 years experience with this.

Thanks and regards

Also You can check in the forum to know if anybody from the same college and course had applied before.

Just go to right corner of the webpage and click the blue link.Click the search link .

Enter the name of college in the searchbox and it will show result of entire forum ,all the keywords related to that.

That would help.

And yes ,as I said earlier if you go for masters or pg diploma in india and previously worked for 3 years ,it will be counted, dnt worry.

1 - Depends if you need those 6 years to meet the required 67 out of 100 points under the six selection factors. I.e if you meet the requirements with 3 years of work experience then you need only show those 3 years.

2 - In the past it used to be only your Primary NOC, I cannot say whether this has changed.

3 - No effect.

4 - No, it is still your responsibility to choose the correct NOC.

Thanks @DelPiero07 for your response.

Regarding #1 where you said I can only consider 3 years as long as I meet 67/100 criteria:

I am eligible even when I tried a sample eligibility check where I selected three years exp in the last ten years in the eligibility tool along with other parameters like my ielts score , Eca assement results etc . In that case can I keep my FSW profile as it is for 6 years years and more because I cannot go back and update it at this point but just provide proof for three years work exp while submitting my PR application and move other three years to the personal work history section ? Is that possible ?

Please advice.

Thanks
