I don't want to give specific dates, but my CoPR expires 13 months after my medical date. CoPR was issued in April.

It's widely known that UAE is a slave state, basically, for immigrant workers. Can you just make a weekend trip to Canada to establish PR and then fly back to complete your contract? (This assumes they haven't confiscated your passport like UAE lets companies do.)
Thanks!!

The companies here does keep all our passports to restrict movement, gotta get it to submit for copr stamping and to make my landing, no point comming back to finish few months of contract. ;)

Yeah that's totally messed up. What do you think about that @pavan23 (deleted the reply to me about UAE)? That's a totally normal thing to allow in a country right? Confiscating passports?

Really appreciate any thoughts, experience and advice here.

I just called up and got a surprise when CIC agent told me that my file is approved on Apr 30 only (when status changed to IP2), He said that my file was processed in Montreal and now shifted to Vancouver office for landing. Once file gets approved, there is waiting time of 3 months at Vancouver office due to heavy backlog.

Can somebody on this forum have any clue and advise what could be the reason that my file shifted to Vancouver office for landing after approval as I have not received any approval email or ghost update post IP2. The system still shows IP2.

My Details: AOR Dec 21, 2018, Medicals Passed: Feb 4, 2019, IP2: Apr 30, 2018: BCPNP Inland Applicant.
So what should they do after files are approved? You are in Vancouver area, they just want you to land in an office. That's it. Ip2, ghost updates don't always follow the exact same pattern.

Then how did I know (as someone who's never set foot in UAE) that they do confiscate passports and why did @BenDavid confirm that they have his to "restrict movement"?

Also, I don't know what the thing about shootings in the US was about. You are the one who took offense at me trying to help @BenDavid by acknowledging working conditions forcing him to stay in UAE. I wasn't saying "the US is great" or anything, obviously; I'm trying to immigrate to Canada.

Confiscating passports is the least of it, mordern day Apartheid is practiced here with the locals getting free money, free bungalow, free cars, free medical by taxing businesses, now they have extended their taxes to all goods and services in the country, on top of that there is no equality in pay for ppl with different passports doing the same profession. A local or western would be on the top tier pay ranges while indians who do the same profession and infact form the bulk of their workforce and aruguably built their cities from scratch are paid the lowest, treated with no respect and squeezed out of their hard earned money with expensive rent, schooling, road tolls, mobile bills and traffic fines. They project it with propoganda as a city of dreams which "they" have built and tightly control the news media.
I would love to live in India but there is not enough economic opportunity and hence we migrate to foreign lands where we are subject to these treatments, the great Influx of Indians in to the Middle East is in part a failure of our country to provide jobs for all those freshly minted graduates each year (nearly 100,000 per year). How will all of us find a living in a corrupt and frustratingly slow bureaucracy that is the indian government. And so we sojourn to far away lands as economic refugees hoping to find better living conditions for our families back home.

Honestly, if by being low profile I could have my PPR faster, I'd take that any day. But I find karma drives a lot in life. If I can be of help to a stranger, I consider that my random act of kindness for the day; maybe the universe will throw it back at me. Yet I'm no saint. It's not always easy to remain active and positive on this forum as people drive past you (for no fault of their own). It is a lesson in exercising grace, patience and courage (to remain true to yourself).

Don't worry mate we'll get our PPR soon, hope you get yours fast because you have helped a lot of people here and I also know how hard it is to keep optimism while seeing so many people receiving PPRs in front of you (obviously not their fault, but it's still disappointing)

Haha, that may be, but I'm definitely IRCC's worst nightmare! Someone is sitting at a desk in the basement - with no stapler - poring over my travel history and matching dates to hundreds of stamps. And they can't drink at work either.
You're getting your RPRF's worth out of them.
