Hi @USProgrammer, is this your correct dates? let me know.

Medical done Date: ______??
AOR: 01/12/18
PPR: 25/03/19
COPR Date of issue: _________
COPR Expiry Date: 01/12/2019 ??

Any way to extend the expiry date by request with CIC? due to my current contract and such and the heavy financial penalty i have to pay thats enforced by the government in UAE for breaking contract. They enforce this kind of rules to ensure servitude but does not enforce any kind of equality of pay for all races for the same profession

Mine is 1 month past my medical for some reason.

Hello everyone,

Finally joined the 180+ elite group today!! Just talked to a CIC agent and she mentioned that all applications are taking longer than 6 months as they have received way more applications than normal. In my case, everything is passed and they are in process of making the final decision.I saw a ghost update on May 31( agent confirmed that it was eligibility passed). Although i live in Ontario, the file has been moved to Vancouver VO, which she explained is due to the VO's facing application overload and there has been a lot of movement of files across them. She, still ,couldn't provide any timelines if I will receive the final decision in 2 or 6 weeks.
As per my understanding, many/most of us might cross the 6 months progress bar but, I expect it wouldn't be too long a wait after that or the mighty PPR email will tell! :D

You’re just at the mercy of IRCC officials. 35 days since I ordered GCMS notes. No updates there. Raised CSE more than 6 days ago, no updates there as well

15 days away from joining the elite league
I might be wrong but what i’ve noticed is that CSE responses don’t come until 2 weeks from submission.

Hi All...

I just called up and got a surprise when CIC agent told me that my file is approved on Apr 30 only (when status changed to IP2), He said that my file was processed in Montreal and now shifted to Vancouver office for landing. Once file gets approved, there is waiting time of 3 months at Vancouver office due to heavy backlog.

Can somebody on this forum have any clue and advise what could be the reason that my file shifted to Vancouver office for landing after approval as I have not received any approval email or ghost update post IP2. The system still shows IP2.

Really appreciate any thoughts and experience.

I am just going to enter I guess!
Edmonton is something wrong no application is processing within time. Any idea what can cause so much delay when we are in Inland & CEC
Thats what is causing the delay I guess.. being cec inland :p
The last time i spoke to an agent, I was told that there is a shortage of landing interview slots. That might be one of the reasons why it's being delayed. Also Edmonton receives a lot of work from other VOs in reallocation. I am not sure why they do that when they are not able to process their own...

I called Cic today , they said eligibility , criminality is passed waiting on security . I asked him how long this usually takes , aggressive response of maybe 2 years , 3 years . 15 days left for 6 months process . Does anyone know how long it will take for security check and ppr from now onwards.
Thanks

I don't want to give specific dates, but my CoPR expires 13 months after my medical date. CoPR was issued in April.

It's widely known that UAE is a slave state, basically, for immigrant workers. Can you just make a weekend trip to Canada to establish PR and then fly back to complete your contract? (This assumes they haven't confiscated your passport like UAE lets companies do.)
