April 2019 TRV Timeline!

India has a big load lately, as seen on forum and people are getting emails from IRCC stating the delays due to large number of applications. Check your emails (inbox and spam) for any such email.
Also, since the biometrics are done on 26th so technically processing started then. Wait for 13 days (the estimated processing time) from 26th and the raise a CSE.

Was this an online application or paper?

This is Online Application. So 13 days policy is calendar days or working days. She has a flight next week and I am really concern now as I think she won't be able to make it by that time.

That's good that you didn't get an email about delay. But even if she gets a PPR today, it would take at least 1 week to get the passport back. Nobody know if it takes more sometimes or may be less.

I know you must be upset, but it's not advisable to book tickets in advance. And as I have seen, it's working days.

The processing time (estimate) is 13 days for India and I actually say 13 working days. But, that totally depends on the number of applications at that time and also on file.

People have gotten way under 13 days also and some are waiting for couple of months. Since you just filed, don't get disappointed so soon nor keep your hopes high.

Also, have you paid the Biometrics fees upfront or are you waiting for the request to pay and get it done? Because that's a big factor, timeline wise.

I paid for Biometric upfront and completed it on 11th may.

It's all a matter of wait now. Keep checking for online status for any updates.
As it has been a trend, people first their biometrics updated online then they receive an Acknowledgment Letter in email then they get a Corresponding letter in their online accounts followed by the decision. Good Luck!

Submission Confirmation : April 17, 2019
Biometrics Collection Letter : April 18, 2019
Biometrics Submitted : April 24, 2019 [VFS Chandigarh]
Biometrics Updated on Account : April 24, 2019
Visitor Acknowledgement Letter : May 2, 2019 [New Delhi Office]

There is no change on the Review of eligibility & background check since the application is submitted. It is still as below :

Review of eligibility : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Is this delay normal as the eligibility status hasn't changed still? I have seen in this thread people got Ack Letter after May 2 and got PPR.

This is the second time my wife has applied for TRV, first time she applied before our marriage on her own. this time I sent the invitation letter.
I hope this time she gets it.

Pretty similar timeline as yours. I applied for my mother. (2nd application, she has been to canada 2 years ago)

It sometimes vary from case to case. the eligibility and background status remained the same in my case as well. it just updated after the correspondence and PPR. Final decision is - application is approved. but the Eligibility still says - we are reviewing if you meet the eligibility criteria.

They do not work on saturdays. They schedule PPRs in batch. That's why some people get it night time also.
