April 2019 TRV Timeline!

Hi All,
my wife applied for TRV Online application. Below timelines.

Application Submitted : April 17, 2019
Submission Confirmation : April 17, 2019
Biometrics Collection Letter : April 18, 2019
Biometrics Submitted : April 24, 2019 [VFS Chandigarh]
Biometrics Updated on Account : April 24, 2019
Visitor Acknowledgement Letter : May 2, 2019 [New Delhi Office]

There is no change on the Review of eligibility & background check since the application is submitted. It is still as below :

Review of eligibility : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Is this delay normal as the eligibility status hasn't changed still? I have seen in this thread people got Ack Letter after May 2 and got PPR.

This is the second time my wife has applied for TRV, first time she applied before our marriage on her own. this time I sent the invitation letter.
I hope this time she gets it.

I had an invitation from a family member
all documents were complete, 50,000 CAD with a stable job with insurance, I own an apartment. my husband and my parents are here in my home country
the purpose was to visit my relatives in Canada, however the person who invited me was here in my home country for a visit the time I received rejection letter, could that be the reason?

Nothing yet. This wait is killing me. Received acknowledgement letter on May 06 and no update since then.

Did you get the approval? I recieved Correspondence letter on 24th April and after that no response. I applied for my mother trv on 21th March from Karachi, Pakistan VFS

Just a quick update:- Got Correspondence Letter 1 Hour ago. Full Timeline:-

Application Submitted:- 15 April 2019 (Online)
Submission Confirmation:- 15 April 2019
Background status changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." on 16 April 2019 and few hours later got Biometric request letter
Biometrics Request:- 16 April 2019
Biometrics Submitted:- 25 April 2019 (VFS Delhi)
Biometrics Updated on Account:- 25 April 2019
Eligibility Review Started:- 06 May 2019
Correspondence Letter:- 09 May 2019

Is the correspondence letter same as visitor acknowledgement letter?

my friend trv got refused 3 times , need help

1 refused reason - others
2 refused reason - others
3 refused reason - purpose of visit & personal assets and financial status

please help what to do now , re-apply instantly or he should wait .

Ask him to order GCMS notes first and find out the reasons for refusal. He should only reapply if he has managed to avoid the reasons highlighted before.

already received GCMS note after 1 refusal mention


File reviewed for couple applying for trv for tourism. No family or friends in Canada. No/limited insufficient travel history noted. Based on the information provided, applicant has not demonstrated sufficient establishment in their country of residence. Considering economic conditions and employment prospects in home country, and taking into account factors including travel history, economic establishment and family ties, on balance, |am not satisfied that the applicants have a credible purpose of visit and that they would respect the terms of admission as temporary residents in Canada. Refused.

1 time apply in june 2018 - paper file
2 time apply in march 2019 - paper file , both time refused by Bangalore Embassy.
3 time apply in april 2019 - online file , refused by CPC-Ottawa.

I dont know your travel history man, but it is advised to travel a couple of countries before applying again. The countries should not be common like Dubai, Thailand & Malaysia which they don't consider it as something justified for Tourism.
