thanks Mike it was a great detailed response - I did some research on this.

Am sitting at 439 in the EE pool
BC EE seems like a good option - i went thru their program guide and for that, youre right, 1 year experience in BC is not required but a job offer is mandatory as it seems from there. So a viable option is to get intra company transfer (my case) - as my company operates in Canada and also in my current country of residence. and once im in Canada i can start applying for the BC EE since ill have the job offer and location of work which BC EE guys look into apart from language etc.

does the above seem in line with your experience? i am a bit confused when you said "you dont need an employer and or Canadian experience (but it helps)" - from the program docs of BC EE you do need at least a job offer (but no experience is ok) - is it correct? thanks for your opinion!

Friends, I am In a similar situation and need your guidance.

Few details:
1. Moved from US to Toronto - Ontario in Jul 2018 through ICT-WP valid for 3yrs.
2. Have active EE profile with CRS score sitting at 338.
3. IELTS score - L7.5, R:7.5, S:8, W:8
4. Wife has open Canadian work permit and searching for job in ON
5. Employer sponsors PR only after 2yrs of Canadian experience

Considering need good guidance on our PR prospects. Quite demoralized currently as have no chance in EE.

Can you guide:
1. I will get 50 points after finishing 1yr Canadian experience but does ICT job offer (LMIA excempt) gives me any points now.
2. Will I have any chances under ON PNP program? Or any other province ?

You can't do an Intra Company Transfer to a company that doesn't exist yet. You need to look at other programs to come here.

Yes, the Start Up program is one of the other programs I was referring to.

You have to first apply under the Start Up visa program. This has very specific requirements.

Once you have received a Commitment Certificate and Letter of Support issued by a designated entity may be considered for a short-term work permit. The designated entity must support the request for a work permit.

The most important thing is getting a letter of support from a Designated Organization. You need either monetary investment from a VC ($200,000 CAD minimum), an angel investor ($75,000 minimum), or get accepted into a business incubator (no minimum investment required).

I spoke with a lawyer. There are two different programs:

1. Start-up visa program - you go to designated accelerator organizations or secure funding from Angel investor / venture capital funds, in order to be able to apply for start-up visa.

2. ICT transfer:
A) say, you have a company in Poland, it's been functioning for more than a year, you have a number of paid staff, etc. Now, you as an owner and CEO, want to move to Canada to start-up your company.
or
B) You are working for a company which already has office in Canada, and you are being transferred to Canada office.

My case is 2A. Important footnote: A company must be incorporated in Canada, before one can apply for ICT transfer visa. It is possible without coming to Canada, one caveat in Ontario - the director has to be Canadian citizen or PR. After this, it is easy to show a link between your company in Poland (or anywhere else) and in Canada, if you have at least 50% shares in each.

Will share my experience, once I apply and hopefully complete the process.

Hi, does the duration to apply/obtain PNP varies for each state? If yes, may I know which state has the shortest time. I read that someone obtained the PNP in 4 weeks for British Columbia.

Now, I would like to get some of your valuable opinions to this,
- if it would possible for me to select options of "Holding a valid job offer with LIMA exempt " and increase my score to 439. OR
- Would it be best for me to wait for 7 months and apply with 1 year Canadian experience.

Please do let me know if there are any better suggestions that I would need to consider as well.

- No. Not possible. You have to work in Canada for your employer for a full year before you can claim job offer points.
