hey guys .. i wont be on this site as much as i used to be ... wish you guys all the best.... PR is the on the way!
I got the ghost update (see my signature), then nothing. Still no medical request.So... Quebec residents haven't gotten anything, right?
CongratulationsOMG I think I just received my landing interview email right now. And I logged in to ECAS and it showed decisisn made! Does it mean that I basically got my PR??We were never able to link the app. so it is kind of hard to give everyone a timeline (also the fact that we were not checking very frequently) But here are some of my info:
November Inland Common Law:
PA: China
App received Nov 5
AOR Nov. 15
Medical request Jan. 16
Medical result received sometime in Feb
Background started at the end of Feb or Beginning of March.
Eligibility started April 29 (I am not sure that's what ECAS shows)
DM April 30
Hope everyone else will get theirs soon

I wonder what the issue is.
Sending us the medical request would cost them nothing and I know someone is working on my application, so I have to assume they are holding back on purpose. Everyone else gets the medical request regardless of the other steps, but apparently we Quebec applicants need to clear eeeeeverything else first...
Frustrating.
After we obtain the CSQ we were supposed to be treated like every other candidate. The Quebec-related step is over. But clearly that's not the case.
At least I am happy for all the other people here getting to the finish line
That's a good pointIn some sense they are doing you a favour by holding off on medical, perhaps? Given that medical results do expire, I mean. If delays are severe, at least you won’t have to pay twice if you’re stuck in the queue — those of us stuck with you but who have already gotten their medicals might have to get them (and pay for them) .
That's a good point
However, it would indicate that Quebec's queue is potentially much longer than everywhere else, which supposedly should not happen.
We have to obtain a CSQ, but once that is done the federal government has full jurisdiction over our applications.
Good luck! We are also in Calgary and my husband is from Beijing as well We are a month behind ur application so finger crossed!hey guys .. i wont be on this site as much as i used to be ... wish you guys all the best.... PR is the on the way!
Hey guys, I had just gotten OWP approval and just received it in mail. What do I do with the document now? Do I bring this document to job interviews?, I heard about bringing to document to get a SIN #, is this the next step?
Thank you
Thanks, it is definitely nice to know.It definitely shouldn’t! But if it makes you feel any better (probably not, but at least you have company? ) there are people from outside Quebec getting their PR processed at Montreal too. That might account for some of the delays. And those of us sent there from other provinces are getting delays too, even without factoring in CSQ. Not sure what’s happening over there — hope the floods don’t compound the delays...
