is it? country of resident would be Canada in this case, you are able to fill in the status of "visitor" if you say Canada - and if they are on super visa and stay here for years, this is where they live.,
Then in this case, for super visa holders currently in Canada, Will we mark as other as super visa option is not there and then in comments mention super visa. Doubt on putting as visitor, because 1st thought that comes seeing the visitor is 6mnths validity and but they have stayed more than 6 months on super visa.

Yes I am from India, but my parents are here in Canada for a visit, they just came 2 weeks before. Not sure how to renew their passport here. But if they ask for 6 months validity then I will submit now and they will renew their passport when they return back to India.
Passports can be renewed from Canada. Go to any BLS office and check their website for requirements.

Got a question. I am filling the generic form imm008. When I select my mother is widow it won't allow me to select NO in the next question where it ask if you are previously married. When I select YES it asks for start date and end date of marriage. Is the end date means date of death of my father?

Yes, that's what I am doing.

Its seems there are some contradictory questions. I am single without a cosigner and I'm sponsoring my parents. So total family size is 3. In Form imm0008 (Application Details, 3) - How many family members, including you, are in this application (see instructions guide)? My Answer is 3.

In form imm5768e, Section 3 (A) Number of people included in Box # 3 of imm0008. If I put 3 here my family unit size becomes 4 in point 7 of this form. Which then is used to calculate the Minimum income.

Didn't anyone notice this?
Your answer is wrong, IMM 0008 is completed by the principal applicant, so that means that if you are only sponsoring your parents the number is 2. You are not applying to become a permanent resident, they are and you are certainly not their dependant

Hi everyone,
Would you please advise which option should I choose for if you are found ineligible to sponsor?
Thank you and wish you all the best of luck through the process.
Did you get selected but don't meet the criteria?

You don't apply but you shouldn't have applied for EOI either:rolleyes:

Does it make any sense to add a non working spouse as "Cosponsor" who is dependent on me ?
We are a family of 4 (including me, spouse and 2 kids).
I am sponsoring my mother. Father is dead and both parents on spouse side are dead as well.
My income is pretty high and I meet criteria for a family size of even 10.
Does it make any difference one way or the other if spouse signs as co-sponsor or not if she herself is dependent on me ?
