So let's say she gets a job somewhere overseas, and she is currently residing at her homeland, can she continue working until her PR is approved? How long does she have before she has to come to Canada? I just don't want this to affect the PR processing in any way. I was told that I as a the sponsor cannot leave Canada while the processing is taking place due to my PR status.yeah, your spouse can work anywhere they like there is no such condition as far as I know. Have you read somewhere that they can't work or take up on new offer?
You as the sponsor should not leave Canada for more than a couple of days during the process because that conflicts with your claimed intention of residing in Canada. So let's say she gets a job somewhere overseas, and she is currently residing at her homeland, can she continue working until her PR is approved? Thank you for all the information. This makes me a little less paranoid. I really hope we get the process complete soon. You as the sponsor should not leave Canada for more than a couple of days during the process because that conflicts with your claimed intention of residing in Canada.
Far as I know, Im with Jerry I don’t believe your spouse working overseas would impact her PR eligilibility. However, if for some reason the process takes long and she ends up overseas for more than 6 months then they are going to want a police clearance from the new country.
Again, just the best of my knowledge
I wish there was a better answer my friend but there isn’t.. there’s not* much of a “usually” in the entire process really. Anyone can take any amount of time in any stage really. If I was you Id just be happy in the knowledge that your file did not get stuck at any of the stages you’ve cleared so farThank you for all the information. This makes me a little less paranoid. I really hope we get the process complete soon.
In terms of the PR process, usually how long does it take after both medicals and biometrics are done? I know the predefined answer is 12 months but there has to be a better answer than that
I really wish this was the same way she saw things. I am personally very happy so far about how things are going. But not everyone takes the waiting game the same way. Oh well, I just hope my usual calm self will help keep her calm too.I wish there was a better answer my friend but there isn’t.. there’s not* much of a “usually” in the entire process really. As @Impatient1 wrote, Sponsor should not leave Canada for more than 2 weeks just to be safe and if the process takes longer and PA ends up living longer than 6 months in another country they may ask the PA for police clearance but you do update the address when she moves somewhere else that is a must.Thank you for all the information. In Worst Case Scenario: Please understand that asking for police clearance is not a bad thing if that becomes the case, it will just take little longer as asking for new documents always is.I really wish this was the same way she saw things. But we already submitted the clearance docs of where she was prior to her entry back to homeland. Also I got an email stating this:In Worst Case Scenario: Please understand that asking for police clearance is not a bad thing if that becomes the case, it will just take little longer as asking for new documents always is.
In the Best Case Scenario: It goes all smooth like it has already been.
