The server experience likely won't help you since it's not classified as a skilled occupation. The chef experience is good provided you have at least a year of it, it's full time and you can get proof of that work experience. If there's an opportunity for you to continue in the chef profession and work full time in this area with your OWP - that would be a good choice.I looked them up I have loads of experience as a server. Some experience as a chef. I have lots of basic to intermediate carpentry skills learned from my father throughout life. Im 43 years old but Im not scared of hard work and I'm strong and I have as much motivation to remain here as anyone my daughter is my world Perhaps I can get into a carpentry apprenticeship. This gives me a lot of hope thank you all.for the responses. This thing might just work out. I have a renewed faith in God. But even if it doesn't I have prepared myself for whatever path is laid before me. Thank you all for every response. I am humbled.
Carpentry apprenticeship is probably not possible. Generally speaking, apprenticeships are only open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
Your age will unfortunately work against you. Many of Canada's immigration programs are points-based and you will lose substantial points due to your age. Recommend that you calculate how many points you have under the Express Entry program to see what it will take to get the number of points required. Right now only those with 440+ points are being selected.
