You think we can get to 444 in 2 months? That makes me more hopeful about my chances even if these are the words of a random internet strange :p

Right now cutoff is approx 450 and the main reason for high cutoff was "No draw for 3 weeks in feb" Since then the draws are in alternate week. If the alternate week draws continues then the cutoff will decrease by 1-2 points every draw. Based on that i said within 2 months. Caveat if there is even a single 1 week diff draw then it will be sooner than 2 months. Just ensure that you are not loosing any points because of birthday. Else go for Ielts and increase it to expedite the process.

I already have CLB 10 so I dont think IELTS will help. I wont lose points due to birthday until 2020 so I am not worried about that. I just hope its gets below 449 within the next 2 months or so.

With 444 you will sail thru in may be next 2 months but one important thing to Note that hope you are not loosing any point in near future due to your birthday or any other factor. If your birthday approaching in 2 months then quickly ask your dependant to appear for IELTs and apply for EE and get ITA and freeze the age factor

Also as you mentioned about increasing dependant IELTS score. That would expedite the application time and you may get ITA soon. So you only have 12.5k at stake. Take your call.
Thanks mate. Birthday is in December 25 .I have enough time. Right now i am at 444 .I have booked ielts for dependent on 27th april. If we get 6 each will get 4 more valuable point. I think 448 will be good score to get ita .Am waiting with 444 from feb. Let's see what will happen will give our best to get 4 more points. Thanks again for your valuable inputs.

MY IELTS score is L-8.5, R-6.5, W-6.5, S-7. This is my second attempt. I tried the third time as well and got a lower score. I lost hopes to prepare and write IELTS again. So I applied with a low CRS score of 367 on Jan 2nd, 2019. My NOC is in 2174. Can you please advise if there are any chances for OINP?
i faced IELTS 13 times to reach 448 on 1st feb. Just after the 438 draw date. Then i lost 5 points to my bday on 1st march. Now staying hopefully at 443. Dont give up easily my friend. Very soon this high tide will calmed. Stay hopefully.

i am planning the same. My wife is planning to sit IELTS on 11 may. If she can score well we could reach up to 449 from 443. Will do our best to improve.

I believe many people had to go through many attempts in IELTS before finally receiving their desired scores. I did it 7 times and it took about 8 months!

Not too difficult to read my situation mate. It's simply a case of me not having the score when people were drawn at 438. I received my revised IELTS score on 28 March '19, courtesy of which I now have a CRS of 448.

My first IELTS attempt was in Oct '18, and I created my EE profile, despite not having CLB9. I was aware that this may help me in a tie breaker situation. So a bit far-sighted here.

You are at par with a recent 449.

I have an even more bad feeling that there may not be a draw the coming Wednesday.

My feeling was purely a product of my cynical mind. Same with yours right? I mean you dont have a reason for thinking that, right?
If they dont have a draw this week, it will fuck up the scores for another 2 months at the least. I think we still havent quite escaped the effects of the 457 3 week gap draw yet.

Tie break was Jan 9th for last round's 451 cutoff. This means everyone who joined since Jan9th with a score of 451 is still in the pool....WTF. Thats going to be hundreds of people. Is the cutoff ever going to drop below 450 now? Is 450 the new 438?

I strongly believe that the scores will drop. The surge in cutoff is temporary and it always has been that way. During initial part of the year, scores remain high and then it hovers at 440.

The remaining 451s are being approximated at 180 profiles. So yes 451 is also no longer such a safe score...let's see what happens on 17th

449 is a great score. You will make it within the next 2 draws :)
