Why 3350 ITAs instead of 3900 ITAs this year so far, read IMPORTANT NOTE below:

Every year at the end of Q2, CIC reaches in a position to understand how many invites they have to send in the remaining half of the year (considering the number of applications rejected till Q2). Since many applications gets rejected, so this opens the buffer of increasing ITAs beginning Q3 to meet their yearly targets. So, thats why Q3 Q4 always have above 3750 invites to meet the yearly target.

Here are the glimpse of last year and see the pattern of sending invites every quarter:

Quarter 1:
Number of invitations issued: 2,750 - January 10, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 2,750 - January 24, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,000 - February 7, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,000 - February 21, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,000 - March 14, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,000 - March 26, 2018

Quarter 2:
Number of invitations issued: 3,500 - April 11, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,500 - April 25, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,500 - May 9, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,500 - May 23, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,750 - June 13, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,750 - June 25, 2018

Quarter 3:
Number of invitations issued: 3,750 - July 11, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,750 - July 25, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,750 - August 8, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,750 - August 22, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,900 - September 5, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,500 - September 19, 2018

Quarter 4:
Number of invitations issued: 3,900 - October 3, 2018
Number of invitations issued: 3,900 - October 15, 2018

Unlike last year, they invited around 5k more candidates in January itself, thereby offsetting the gain from higher annual quota.

This 3350 can eventually become 3500, but in all likelihood, it may not become 3900.

Friends, I think that it is holiday in Canada on Thursday, Friday and next Monday ( Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday). Will these holidays affect this Wednesday's draw?

You should also consider the fact that the number of applications has increased this year as compare to previous year.

Hence, 2750 or 3000 is new 3350 this year. Hope you understand!

Any idea when Ontario will send NOI for Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream? They had sent 1493 on Jan 14th. After that they have not sent for HCP.
Interesting thing to note: On 10th January, they had a message about System Maintenance, and on 14th Jan they sent NOIs.
Similarly, they have a notice of system maintenance from 12th to 15th April. I'm hoping they will send the next set of invite for HCP in this week.
