eTA Cancelled Without Reason

Hi everyone, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post but I’m in desperate need of help/clarity. I am from New Zealand, last April I travelled to Canada to visit my family and had an approved eTA. I am planning on travelling back to Vancouver next week so I decided to check my eTA status, expecting it to be approved as I know it lasts for a few years, however I was met with this message, although the status was still approved
Following an assessment of your file, it has been determined that you no longer meet the requirements for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). As a result, your eTA has been cancelled.
Your file is now closed. Should you wish to reapply for an eTA, we encourage you to do so only once you have addressed the reason(s) for the cancellation of your application. At that time, you may submit a new application at www.canada.ca/eTA.
You are no longer considered to hold a valid eTA. As such, you should not plan or undertake any travel to Canada.”

I am very very confused, as I do not see why this would’ve happened, I’m only 17 years old so I’m not sure what I could’ve done to have the eTA cancelled. Is this just a computer error and would my eTA still be valid? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

Give your dates of any travel you’ve done to Canada
Arrival date
Departure date
How long were you authorized to stay the last time or any time , and more importantly how long did you stay .
Did you do ANY activities that constitute work in Canada ?
Did you go too school ?
Something triggered the cancellation, gotta put the pieces of the puzzle together and figure out what
Since you arrived back in NZ , has anything happened? Police charges etc ?

Last time I arrived in Canada on April 14th and left on the 29th of April, so I was there for around two weeks. I did no activities that could be related to work or study in Canada, I was just there to visit family and do the general tourist things. I’ve had absolutely no police charges to my name. I cannot think of anything that would cause the eTA to be cancelled, I am still very lost and confused as to what’s going on. When I check the status of my eTA using the status checker it says it’s been approved still though, but then there’s a box down the bottom with that message, is there any chance it could be just a computer error? Thank you for the help :)

Did you need to upload authorization from your parents to travel abroad alone as a minor when you applied for an eTA?
Last time when I applied for it I had to have my stepfather who is a Canadian citizen apply for it on behalf of me, since I’m a minor. So he had to fill the form out for me while I gave him the info over the phone for it. Hopefully that answers the question?

Maybe you should email the Sydney visa office (Australia) to ask why your eTA has been cancelled

Update on eTA situation: I emailed the Sydney visa office and they replied almost straight away letting me know that my eTA has not been cancelled and is still valid. So I’m guessing that the online eTA status checker must have an issue at the moment where it is telling people that their eTA’s have been cancelled even when they have not. So for future reference don’t use the online eTA checker! It does not work and will create unnecessary stress! Thank you everyone for your help!
