Your parents are not super visa holders.... and will be allowed to stay up to 6 months on each entry (without an extension).

Maybe they were issued V1 visas because the necessary super visa documents were not submitted

I supplied every document including insurance and medical every thing. but immigration officer told me that they put a reason that i did not supply insurance that is why they gave my parents visitor visa but i supplied insurance i know that. so immigration officer told me to call them and told everything then they will tell you what to do .... does it make sense? do you know what they will do next please?

The immigration officer at the POE cannot change the visa category of the visa counterfoil stamped in their passports.

Did you submit their insurance and other documents along with their applications.... or sometime during processing?

Do you meet LICO for super visas?

Hi everyone, update on our application! We just received request for medicals. This is strange though as my parents did their medical upfront 1 week before we submit our application. It seems as though our first medical did not get applied to our application correctly.

My father received a further medical request and his IME # does not match his application #. Looks like we have to do our medicals again.

No need to redo the medicals. Do email their local visa office

Hello Bryanna,

Would the Vietnam visa office be hochi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca ? Or is it the VFS Global VN office? Also, how can I advise them of the medical done upfront? They only received a generic receipt saying their medical was completed. It does not state their name or application number. I only received a further request for my father and only then did it include his IME number. It does not match his online application though.

It seems they did not get the IMM 1017 form after their medicals. Did they go through medicals at an IRCC panel physician?

You must email the Ho Chi Minh City visa office, not VFS

Correct, after their exam, they just received a 1 page document stating their medicals have been recorded and passed to Canada Immigration. It was not the IMM 1017 Form and did not state their name or documentation number. They did their medicals at the following location:

Name: International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Hanoi
Address: 23rd Floor, Building 72 Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower,
Pham Hung Street,

At this point, I did receive a further medical request for my father so I know they received his medical at least and have a form of contact. I am thinking to play it safe and do their medicals again with with the provided IMM 1707 forms issued. I just don't have a way to connect their upfront medicals with their application as we did not receive the first IMM 1707.

immigration officer checked the reason why they did not give my parents super visa in their system and he told me the reason they put into system that you did not submit insurance policy or agreement when applied for parents but i know i submitted policy when i applied for my parents because it is basic requirements for super visa.

Not sure why your parents weren't issued super visas. You won't be able to change this situation unless they apply for super visas from scratch

Hello, I applied for my parents supervisa on March 14th. Upfront Medicals. Uae visa office. I then had to submit two webforms to update something. The most recent webform was sent in today. Do webforms delay the decision? How long do you guys think their visa will take?

This is a listed panel physician. You should email the visa office first to confirm whether or not their medical reports were sent by IOM. Do include the receipt

@Bryanna,
Hi Bryanna, I have received a notification from VO Abu Dhabi that they will not issue Supervisa for my parents because they are not sure that they will return back after their stay.

I don’t know what have I missed but I have submitted all the documents which say that they will be returning back.

Can you please advice if I should re-apply then what documents should be there to show strong family ties in their country of residence?

This is the rejection reason:

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

Sorry to hear that your parents were refused. I had advised you against applying for their super visas because you don't meet the LICO criteria
