Applied for super visa
Hi Patel,Hi, my parents were refused for visitor visa last year March 2018. And at that time, there was no biometrics requirements for applicants from India. It’s just recently that CIC made the biometrics requirents compulsory for applicants from all the countries. It’s very recent thing. So, my parents applied for Supervisa On March 11 with upfront Medical. And they submitted their biometrics (for the first time) on March. 19th. After that I haven’t checked their status yet. But I’m going to check it today.
When you guys sign into your GCKey account, does it keep redirecting to the immigration and citizenship home page? --> https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship.html
Every time I click check on application, it directs me to the GCKey login and then right back to the Immigration landing page. So frustrating! I've cleared browser cache and cookies and the same thing on Internet Explorer and Chrome.
Sure. We applied on March 11th with upfront Medical. Biometrics were done on 19th March. Medical passed and biometrics got validated in the same week. And I am still waiting for passport request. I was hoping to receive it in the beginning of this week but still waiting. I don’t know how long will it take. However, if there is any update I will definitely post it here regardless. Meanwhile, if you receive any update, then please post it here.Hi Patel,
Yours and mine cases and timelines are almost identical.
I also applied for regular visitor visa for my parents last year around March 2018 and got rejected (reason of rejection was no travel history).
This time (after an year) i applied for Super Visa.
Date of application : 16th March 2019
Medicals : Upfront
Biometrics done : 1st April 2019
Now waiting for next step/update.
Please keep sharing the updates on your profile too.
Thanks,
Raghu

Hi Ali. I applied for my parents super visa after buying insurance and they have gone through medical as well. and they came first time in December and now they are back here in Canada again but when they can this time immigration officer told them you are on normal visitor visa but you applied for super visa and it is mentioned in your file they gave you visitor visa because you did not buy insurance at that time when you applied so you have to call embassy or consulate and tell them all story then they will tell you what to do ?
we applied after buying insurance and going through medical because insurance is required to apply super visa...
so please can any one suggest me what to do now please?

I have no idea why it says so. @Bryanna can definitely help you in your query with her expert opinionThanks Patel for the prompt reply.
A little confused here. You said your parents' medical is passed. Do we have a "passed" status of medicals on the portal?
For my parents, against the medicals section, it states "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes."
If it changes after sometime, then any idea when? FYI, my parents gave upfront medical on 12th March and application was submitted on 16th March with Biometrics done on 1st April.

Your parents are not super visa holders.... and will be allowed to stay up to 6 months on each entry (without an extension).
Maybe the visa office has not processed their applications to the medicals stage as yetThanks Patel for the prompt reply.
