Hi,
My wife has submitted PR application (AOR Oct 30 2018) and it's still on IP1 as of today. We are currently in Canada as I had got closed work permit (ICT) from my employer and she is living with me on spousal open work permit. My closed work permit is expiring in June so technically her open work permit will also expire at the same time. I am not sure if we would know our PR decision before June (Reason being the file is in Montreal office). So I had following questions. Anyone in the same situation or who has knowledge on this, kindly advise.
1) In this case is it better to extend existing my ICT or my wife should apply for BOWP so that I may be eligible for open work permit?
2) If I get open work permit, can I continue working for the same employer after my existing ICT expires?
2) If she applies for BOWP and if we don't get the decision on this and the PR by June, I'll then be on implied status. Can I still continue working on implied status with decision pending on Open work permit (Applied as part of BOWP)?

Hello, urgent question here.
I talked to an IRCC agent yesterday and she told me that my eligibility is "recommended pass",
and my security has "not started". I asked her what's the hold up, and she said that
they haven't received any documents for the ADR (for proof of funds) that they sent on March 14.
My agent uploaded the documents on March 18.
I've confirmed with him and he is adamant that he uploaded all the documents on March 18.
He even checked the portal now, and it shows that the documents have been submitted.
Could there be a problem in their system? Maybe a glitch or bug?
I aim to call them up again today and verify, but this is freaking me out.

So if there is an status change, you would see "application/profile updated" and then this status will change to "Submitted" again. What does that mean?
Was there a change seen in your profile? If there was no change but status said updated, it means that was a ghost update. Most likely that your application was approved.
Entered IP2. Background check initiated.
When I checked again, as I couldn't believe this, the status changed to "submitted". So wondering what does that mean.
When there is any update on your profile from the last time you opened it, it will show updated, once you open your application and come back again it will show 'submitted', that's what happened when my medical passed.
Ghost update is when you see updated, but there is no change to any status on your profile, ghost = silent update
