hello Everyone,
I need your help please. My husband's passport expires by End of August 2019. Based on this pace am not sure he will have his visa stamped by then and if he does if he will be able to land with less than 60 days validity in the passport.
Anyone knows what is the process if we decide to renew the passport while the application is in process? we got the Sponsor approval, moved to local office with biometrics done and medicals done last Friday.

Appreciate the help

Hi,
the process is very simple and no worries needed :) As soon as your husband get new passport, submit it's copy via web form.

Hi can you advise when did the background check started for the applicant. Was it after passing of medicals or before ?
GCkey had "background process started" 30 days after the additional documents were received. I don't know if they actually did the BGC (outland application processed in Mississauga).

My entire timeline is in signature.

It's never certain. For most, it's very next day. Mine took more than a week. Please note that they send PPR to the PA's email account. Not the sponsor's email, not GCkey. Check the spam folders as well.

My LVO asked for new schedule A and I sent it through email but I think I made a mistake about my personal history should I send another one or should I wait for them to ask again?

Depends on the mistake. If it's not a serious one, you can wait. If it is, then contact the visa office.

Sure

Application received Oct. 4
AOR: Dec 6
Medical Request: Jan 7
Additional Documents req: Jan 14
SA: Jan 15
Procedural Fairness regarding Sponsors intent to live in Canada: March 5
PPR: March 19

There are a few dates I can’t find offhand like processing in Mississauga letter, Medicals passed, etc.

Pretty quick processing in spite of the additional documents request and procedural fairness letter to deal with.

We’re in Ottawa already, my wife is here on a Visitors Visa so we’ll send the passport to the Ottawa address and wait.

I read it takes 2-3 weeks.

Will need figure out how to “land”. I read you can do it in country somehow. We are pretty close to upstate NY and my wife does have an American B1 Visa so easy to get across.
