Just got a note from CIC Mississauga to provide additional proof of relationship , got to work on it now

We got the same proof of relationship request last week. Submitted whatever additional proofs we could gather today by email.

I wonder if they're asking everyone that's had their application forwarded to Mississauga for additional proof or pictures? I included at least double of everything was required, even receipts from purchases my hubby made while he was living here last year lol I feel sorry for the agent that received our application.

Have you had an additional doc request? I’ve not heard anything since the 27th but I went OTT on my supporting docs too.

No I haven't gotten anything but that's just because unfortunately, IRCC still haven't received the medical stuff. I called them today and they said it should be fine though, just to send in a webform proving we did the medical on Mar 4/2019. So considering that the medical office said everything is fine and has been sent off to them and we sent the webform to IRCC with the proof, I'm not too worried. Actually, I have even more proof ready for them just in case they do ask, I'm still collecting proof of the relationship even now after we've sent the application. So I dare them to ask for more proof lol They will be swamped with lots of proof

Yeah, I'd also be curious (in part for myself but mostly for a lot of other posters around here) how much of this sort of proof you provided in the original application.

Only representative will receive the email updates and the documents, you can still call IRCC and ask for updates (does not matter if you are Sponsor or PA, they will still give you an update). I have done it several times before I removed my representative. You just cannot ask them to make changes or resend emails (only representative can if you have one, otherwise PA can).

Also, my medical results were received on March 11 and no update till now. Can you share your dates?

Mine medical done feb 27.. and on ecas it says medical result receive.

Hi can someone pls clarify, does the line 2 about BGC starting on ECAS get added later on the PA side after medical results received? And if BGC on GCkey shows in process does that not mean they have already starting it or that update is incorrect until Line 2 on PA side on ecas appears and shows when exactly did they begin?

In ECAS you wont see anything about background check. The next step after medicals is probably you will have a decision made soon, or in case if they need something from you then you might see a point stating a correspondence was sent.

Hey Guys. This is really stupid for CIC to ask for Call logs or text messages. What if the person has changed the phone and does not have any of the old information.

And what will you do when you actually make calls using whatsapp or skype or facebook or other apps like REBTEL. How do you take logs of it in this case?

You can get call logs from WhatsApp Skype and facebook!

Oh ok! But what about that line 2 that everyone has that states we started processing your application on so and so date...i dont have that line 2 on my ecas

I'm getting worried LVO asked for new schedule A and additional documents last March 11 and we sent them on March 14 thru email..but on gckey it only shows reviewing of additional documents and on other side we need additional documents for continue processing ur application blah blah blah.. I don't know if the additional docs we sent is already ok

Juuuust out of curiosity....For those of you who have gotten requests for additional proof of relationship, what’s the time frame CIC gave you to submit?

Every case is different, if you have been married for a long time I'm sure you have lots of pictures showing you in a relationship for many years. If this does happen where they are asking for more wedding photos, definitely let them know the situation, submit what you can and wait to see what they say. If you have friends who wrote letters to vouch for you as a couple, that's even better if you can include pictures of them too with you and your spouse which is what we did with our own application.

Eh, we really don't have photos with our friends, because most of them are long distance ^^; At least not all together. Which is actually a real shame now that I think about it (We also have like 3 friends so...lol). Now that I really think about it, we don't even have photos with my family either....man I gotta change that; that actually makes me really sad considering my mom isn't exactly young anymore and my step dad is not doing so well......

The only thing we have photos with other people with are when we used to get along with my spouses sister, but they're not mentioned as we no longer are on speaking terms with their family.

We did submit like I said, 10 years worth of photos. We keep to ourselves, due to the nature of our relationship it's not uncommon and given we have little friends (and not local) our photos are mainly selfies and/or just of us.

We also have a whole wack of evidence like a shared car loan, shared rental agreement, I can submit the shared savings account we opened a few months after we submitted our application if they want it, both names on our insurance, me being listed on their life insurance...I have our Disney and SeaWorld annual passes as back-up as well to submit which list both our names on them.

I mean we had less to give the US when we did this process the first time, so I'm hoping this is enough and the fact we got approved without wedding photos to the US gives me hope that it won't be a huge factor given the time we've been married etc.

Finally our GCKEY was updated that our medical has been received! And it was within the hours 7PM-11PM so are people working overtime then? Well anyway let's hope we get a DM soon!
