As I see from this group, it takes minimum one year from the date of receipt of application for Mississauga applicants to receive Test Invite ? Is that true?
People have facts to prove they have waited for more than 14/15 months....
Just continue to live your life.. Citizenship will happen eventually.

Don't read too much into these things/interpret too much into these things. Most importantly: You are applying a full year later than the Jan/Feb/Mar 2018 batch. Things have changed since then. For the better? For the worse? No one knows. Will the election affect processing speed? Most likely, but not sure. Is the pile in mississauga getting larger or smaller at the moment? Also hard to tell. This goes on...

As others said, the most important thing is not to obsess over the processing time.

In any case, I think it's health to tell yourself that you will not check ECAS more than once a month early one. Everything else will just produce misery.

Hi All,
I just got done with the Test at Mississauga office today at 07:45 AM.
I passed the test 20/20. Officer did not find any issues with my file.

Waiting for oath invite now.

Good morning , I applied for a Canadian citizenship and my application was received on December 2017 . They sent me the Canada study guide March 2018 . The started process it April 30 2018 . Since then my application has being in process. I have called several times to ask and all they they me is to wait because it being sent to my local office and they doing a back ground check but it’s being more than 12 months can anybody advise me

Here is my complete timeline

October 2016 to October 2017: Anxiously waiting for C-6 (Those Senate live tracker threads, good memories :) )
26 February 2018 - application sent, received shortly after
1 March 2018 - received
3 April 2018 - AOR
15 June 2018 - In Process
14 February 2019 - Test invite
4 March 2019 - Test
5 March 2019 - DM
11 March 2019 - Oath invite
27 March 2019 - Oath

Good luck to everyone still waiting. My experience was a year of silence followed by a whirilwind of six weeks where everything happened at once. Fingers crossed that everyone still waiting will have the same experience!

Edit: Just to clarify, this is also the Mississauga office (hence I posted it here)

Waiting since May 2018. The current population in Mississauga is close to 800,000. Compared to neighboring cities, there is no doubt that the number of applicants will be higher hence the higher processing time. But shouldn't this basic metric be used by CIC to allocate resources across the region. Maybe they are allocating more resources and maybe they aren't. I wish there were some transparency.

3 April 2018 applicants just got the test invites so you should be expecting it by next month I guess. but yes it is a long waiting game as compared to other cities. October applicants from Toronto and North york have started getting test invites. We are lagging behind.

Looks like there is a min waiting time of 1 year from the date the application was received at Sydney.

A re-post from the March-2018 thread for the sake of completeness:

Completed the oath ceremony, and with that, my journey to Canadian Citizenship at Mississauga today.

Fyi: Per the stats provided by the presiding judge today, Mississauga IRCC has alone graduated 30000 applicants in the last six months. He also mentioned that prior to the oath, CSIS and RCMP checks are again validated to make sure the citizenship candidate is prohibition free.

Here's to hoping that the other's in line hear back soon on their applications, and for those close to the finish line, I hope it's smooth sailing from here

Well if you haven't showed up for your test yet, that's the maximum you can get. All first four items will be processed (hopefully completed) during the interview.
