People who applied after April 2018 have to face following:-
1. Be ready for long wait if you have not received ppr in mass or batch where around 20% people receive their pprs. This happens around 3-5 months from application.
2. After that officers start concentrating on new months and that becomes their priority and they release same percentage of pprs for that months applicants. The chain keeps on repeating every month.
3. A few lucky ones get pprs during their 6th month. Very few. Count continues till 7-9 month and that time percentage of completion reaches to 60-70
4. Rest people keep on waiting and they can expect their pprs between 9 months to 1 year.

Reality check!!!

Where are these figures from?

3 months passed and my estimated remaining processing time is showing 13 Weeks now.

I found a change in my account from the sentence
"You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date."
to
"Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along."

Does anyone find the same change as mine? Or, does anyone knows why it is? Is it a good sign or just auto regular change after 3 months?

It’s trend that has been reported on this forum since April. Earlier it took maximum six months but April onwards everything seems to be changed and most applications processing starts after six months.

This is depressing! Is it security screening where ppl get stuck ? Cuz in my CSE they said eligibility is met and background verifications are in process :(
Not really. Most applications take a back seat and are not touched for months once their eligibility is passed or met.

3 weeks later and now passed the 6 months I just called CIC again... This is depressing... Nothing has changed since my last call, case was last touched on Dec 15th. I guess that something is going on with my eligibility and that there must be review required. Will get GCMS notes in about 10 days, hopefully everything is okay.

When talking about eligibility and security, the agent used the words "not passed". I hope she just meant not started or in progress instead. This is scaring me.
not passed might mean recommended pass as well. they usually say under review if it's marked as RR. be hopeful.

I have heard that cases with problems are sent to Etobicoke VO. Whether there are applicants at Etobicoke who got PPR?
