Btw, hubby is on the way home from doing Biometrics. He says it was very, very quiet when he got there at 10:30AM and he managed to get his stuff done in about 20min but he got there just in the nick of time as after he got there the waiting room filled up by a lot. I have a feeling it has to do with it being Friday but still, if you can go earlier in the morning, it'll be better for you! As such, his GCKEY has already been updated as "Complete" on the "Biometrics" part of it! Hopefully we get his med request today or at least within this next week!

Wow that’s pretty good to hear. What’s strange is I don’t see any updates on my ECAS but I do see it on my gckey account.

In ECAS, for SA you have to login with sponsor's UCI and data to check. Sponsor's UCI is different from PA's UCI.

Am told it take 3 days for it to get updated on ecas. What does it state on GC key?

It states that biometrics are needed. Your decision was made even before you submitted biometrics? Also no medical request or interview either ?

Does anyone know if they send MR only after PA has submitted biometrics or its independent? My spouse has to travel across the country to where the visa office is for biometrics, and ofc, the panel physician is located in the same city. He was hoping he could do it in one trip.

Of course, my application timeline:

Application sent: 5th November 2018
Application Received: 21st November 2018
AOR1: 29th January 2019
Biometrics Request: 14th February 2019
DM ON ECAS: 15th February 2019

Off to London on Monday to get my biometrics done.



I've been following a few peoples timelines and they've had the same route as me. Biometrics, followed by decision made on ECAS the following day.

In ECAS, for SA you have to login with sponsor's UCI and data to check. Sponsor's UCI is different from PA's UCI.

You don't actually have to use the sponsor's UCI -- you can just use the application number (this is presuming you have the number) and use the sponsor's name, birth date, and place of birth (this is the way I have always accessed it, since before official SA and my own UCI).

Just sharing in case that helps someone else in a similar position!

Not sure, but I think a few posters are getting combined together here? @JoshC is the one who said a decision was made, and he was referring (I can only assume!) to a decision on the sponsor, not decision made on the PA.

If you’re linked with GCKEY you’ll get an email asking you to login. Then you’ll see a message about your biometrics.

I see your PA is from the Philippines. I don’t beleive IRCC required Biometrics from there till this year.
