Hi, I am scheduled for my Landing Interview this coming Monday at the IRCC Etobicoke Office.
It took me 2 weeks to get my email with landing appointment. I noticed that many for the most part, are getting theirs in 2 weeks as well from Etobicoke Office.
See my Signature for timeline. Congratulations!

Hi,

How did your interview go ?

What questions do they ask at the Interview?

Please Advise.

Regards,
Mohammad

Hey all,

Just looking for some input on my timeline:
App received: 29 March 2018
AOR: 26 April 2018
Medical Results Rec'd: 21 Sept 2018

We haven't heard anything since the medical results were received. I know it's within the 12 month period, but a lot of folks with similar timelines are getting AIP and landing interviews and it does lead the mind to worry! Is anyone else with a March app still waiting for any correspondence since the medical?

Here's the App status on ECAS:
Review of eligibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Review of medical results; You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Hello, thanks for asking. Our interview went very well! We landed at IRCC Etobicoke office. The place was filled with people as people are there for many reasons (citizenship interviews, PR interviews, etc). Overall, we waited for about 40 minutes to be called up for our turn and the interview was actually completed very informally... we spoke with a nice lady with a plexi glass window between us and the lady. After questions answered and documents verified, CoPR signed, we were provided with the CoPR document and that's it. We then went to get my new SIN number in same building.
The questions asked were 4:
1. Have you or sponsor been charged or committed crime or offence in/out of Canada?
2. Have you been asked to leave Canada?
3. Do you have any dependents/children other than any dependents mentioned in application?
4. What is your first date of entry into Canada? Have you left/returned since this date?

Thnaks :) I have to go on the 7th of this month.

I am just not sure what to respond for number 4 as my wife was here on a visitors visa when I sponsored her. However, she had entered Canada few times before we had initiated the sponsorship as she would go back to visit her family back home.

Any Idea? How that question # 4 Should be responded with in my scenario.

Any advise. Suggestions by anyone:)

From the way it’s worded here, it would be the first time she ever visited Canada, regardless of when the sponsorship application was made. Would be worth looking to find at least dates of entry and exit after that too.

I saw decision made on both side on ECAS, but when I called, they said start reviewing eligibility and background check. It is some kind of delay?

SA email and letter states relaative will be contacted shortly ,

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent Residence (APR) for your relative will be processed separately and he/she will be contacted shortly.

Is this a good sign for PA ?
We sent additional documents to the email provided in the fairness letter ,CPC-MISSISSAUGA, do we still have to uploaded the same documents on my GcKey or not ?

You should be getting a letter either today or tomorrow.
