Out of status- CBSA visit. Exclusion order..help!!

My spouse now got a letter for "subject of removal order" interview in two weeks and we still have no AOR.

Looks like our future is in the hands of CBSA officer.

When did you submit your app again? Are you going to explore the PRRA route?

That's what we did. We purposely did PRRA to buy us time, suspended the active removal order and submit an inland. We submitted the PRRA app in July 2017. We were inform of the results by a CBSA officer in Oct 2018. Because we are near the end of the process and we showed him the updates, including medicals that were taken and received, the officer was willing to wait because were almost done. He said that if we had just submitted the inland now, he would have said no and you have to leave to do outland.

Yeh but for us our application was recvied by CIC December 11th 2018.
and my spouse got exclusion order January 8th, and not removal order interview January 28.
So we are very scary position,

How much time will PRRA give us? they seem to be processing removals quickly.

An exclusion order is a removal order. From my example, the PRRA gave us 15 months. That is more then enough time for you to get your inland approved. Look, if I was you I will fight to have your spouse remain in the country while your spousal application is being process. S/he leaving will cause more headache and the wait will be be 2+ years to get any result from an outland app. Its going to cause more devastation to you. You need to have a plan on what to say for this upcoming interview and be confident that it will work in your favour.

2+ years for an outland application, that's a very long time, I thought outland was quicker that inland

UPDATE:


Sent inland sponsorship ..............December 6th 2018.
Received by Mississauga Immigration Office ...........December 11 2018.
AOR.....................................................................WAITING
CBSA interview for spouse..................January 8 2019 = Exclusion order
CBSA second interview for spouse....January 28 2019. = PRRA option

The result of January 8th meeting was a exclusion order, and the result of second interview was we where offered PRRA option.

We will be send in out PRRA application hoping it will buy us at least 6 moths or more. So our inland application at least gets some momentum.

We have 15 days from January 28 to apply for the PRRA.

That's what exactly happened to my husband , we sent PRRA application last week .

We are April applicants and some others from April have gotten theirs. Still nothing for us yet though. We have the 2nd meeting to discuss the enforcement of removal order/or other options ( prra for example) tomorrow. Officer here in our city that we saw 10 months ago who gave the exclusion order thinks we will be ok, despite not having aor before the exclusion order was issued or even aip before this next interview, which gives us some hope. but I would feel a lot safer with aip right now lol

I’m guessing, and reading, it really all depend on ur situation and the officer in charge. Good luck. Fingers crossed

It took 10 months from the time of exclusion order to next interview for us. Apparently not everyone is so lucky to have so much time, but hoping u are so that ur app can progress a little more before the time comes

We did. It was the only.option avail to us. Even tho our sponsorship app is so close to being done, the officer said its all we can do. They cannot speed up app and cannot wait 4 a decision. Im just about to send off the 2nd part of prra app within the week
