Hi everyone,
i have to submit citizenship application for my mother in Law this week. Just find out eye color and height is different on 2 piece of id's. Will it have any effect?or should i attach an explanation along with application. Irrelevant but may be i can get professional advice here

Attaching explanations to the application should work. You can also have those ID corrected to match your in-law eyes color and height. She will keep running into this problem in the future anyway. She can easily get a BCID or Ontario ID (other provinces have similar IDs).

By the way, you don’t “have to” submit citizenship application in any particular time. You can submit the application anytime you want. They will process it and grant her citizenship as long as she meets eligibility criteria.

Hi Atif,

Are you going to submit "Use of rep" form?? I got the same response from CIC for my mom's application on Dec 21st.

Thanks,
S
Is it compulsory to send that form? Many people have not sent it. Do they delay application if you do not send it? Please help.

Someone please double confirm this for me, I haven't sent any use of representative form and I reckon it isn't mandatory if you don't want to use one.
Am I wrong here?
I also have the same question. I have also not sent that form . I am worried if they will delay the process for those who do not send that form. Please help.

I became PR in late 2017 and started residing in Canada towards the later part of 2018. I do cross the border for work (Windsor Detroit). I’m thinking ahead as my parents are getting old. My question is that since my income is going to be in the US, will it totally disqualify me from sponsoring parents even though I file taxes here in Canada ? Is it compulsory to file taxes for 3 years in Canada before being eligible to sponsor? I don’t want to waste a spot by entering into draws in the future only to be found ineligible.

What if you are going to sponsor 3 family members.

Taxation year 1: did not meet the minimum requirement.
Taxation year 2: Met the minimum requirement
Taxation year 3: Way over the minimum requirement.

Can you still sponsor 3 family members since the current income is very good and well over the minimum threshold?

Can't sponsor due to Taxation year 1.

I believe income must be earned from Canadian sources.

ONLY NOA for last 3 years is required / US income is not counted/

Interesting..lol if they didn't ask, then it should be fine I guess. We are both on the same boat for waiting Manila VO to finish off our applications hopefully within few months as we all have done IME and PCC.

Just out of curiosity, have you submitted PCC through email? or MyCIC? What's your status say for "Additional Document" section in your MyCIC account? or anything on ECAS?

I uploaded the PCC to my dads CIC account and submitted the originals to VFS in Manila because they also requested other more forms having original signatures, so I did both uploading in CIC account and submitted to VFS to make sure they will receive the documents that they requested.

Yes I am hoping for the same too medicals and PCC are done 2 months ago...it's so hard to wait but we have no choice but to wait :)

ECAS says it on process and medical result received and CIC says they are processing the background check and if I am not mistaken they started processing the background check Nov 15 last year...When I uploaded the documents in CIC Account it says the additional documents has been uploded..

What about yours?

Thanks for explanantion. Will change id, its better rather than getting that back in a month. Can wait for another id for 2 weeks.

okay. so have to add another year right? so 4 years with minimum or over the tax "payment" years.

And how long is the processing time if you are one of the 10,000 elected through lottery? How long it will take for family members to receive PR?
