Added - which city are you in?

Added. I'm in Victoria and had to go to the local Commissionaires to get FP done.

I am in Scarborough ID: v_g1973

Does anyone have an idea how long after doing fingerprints before it is acknowledged on ECAS? Apparently they send the electronic application and fingerprints to the RCMP in Ottawa for processing immediately - they have the material within 5 minutes of them sending it. It then takes them around 3 days to process the application and then they mail the results to CIC in Vancouver from Ottawa.

Did the commissioners ask for the letter from IRCC ? Or just the ids?
Thanks

I got my fingerprints at my local police for myself and wife today. At the time of filing the application I tried doing the fingerprints upfront at the commisioneries and then RCMP surrey as I was at surrey that time but both places told me that it’s not possible until we get a letter from IRCC , but today my local police didn’t asked me for any letter just two ids, I gave them the IRCC vancouver address that came with the letter (3rd page- coloured/not white) Do you think the process is done and good to roll further?
Thanks and good luck all.

The letter you receive from IRCC contains your unique application number which they need to match up with your file - I can't comment on whether you may need to do them again....

I just got mine done here in Toronto (339 Bloor West) today and they asked for the letter, my PR card and another picture ID (I brought my country’s passport). the whole thing took less than 20minutes and they said if there’s no positive match it takes 7-10 days. they send it directly to the RCMP and they are the ones that send it to CIC.

Hey guys,

We started processing your application on January 14, 2019.

admin could you please update my status.

hey admins, I believe AOR and In Process dates for 'juliamsr' are incorrect on the spreadsheet, they're Dec, 2019. Could you check?

Hi everyone!
I've been following this thread for a while now and decided to finally share my timeline:

Physical Presence: 1,652
Location: Toronto, ON
App. Type: 2 adults

App. Sent:September 11, 2018
App. Received: September 14, 2018
AOR: December 6, 2018
In Process: December 12, 2018.
Request for fingerprints: January 14, 2019 (only one person received it so far)

and also I've got a question: what is the fastest way to get the fingerprints done? RCMP or private company?

thank you!

Nope - December is correct!
