Those cases that you mention were given PPR by NDVO are usually the cases that were analyzed and finalized by Ottawa and other places such as Sydney. This is wrong point of view that NDVO is doing all the work while others don't do anything. NDVO just issues PPR these days. The rest were performed some where else and this is the whole idea of GCMS (Global Case Management System). You really don't know who does what because they all have access to files and they all do some of the work. Files move a lot between these places as each group are expert in one of the tasks. So, it does not mean that Ottawa does not do anything, it means that they are doing something else behind the scene. Now, why this whole issue of holding approved applicants, I don't know. But, it is obvious that there is a glitch in moving files in the GCMS. That is why people email NDVO to remind them to send PPR
I agree.
Ottawa processed most (70%) of the applications getting PPRs from NDVO these past few week & transferred the applications to Sydney to issue PPRs because of workload distribution . CIO Sydney, processed the other 30% (if I'm to assign percentages) from scratch. The issue is Sydney for whatever reason didn't send the PPRs and still haven't and NDVO has taken it upon themselves to work out the mess. Which we are all grateful for.
Imo, Ottawa is still the fastest VO in terms of overall processing times. Because if these applications weren't processed at Ottawa initially (or at any point in time) chances are we'll be dancing to a different tune now. Things will be much worse.
...
As to why the security for some people is yet to start, I'm thinking it's an issue with CSIS or the security agents, but I don't have any data to back that up yet. My other theory is that Ottawa might have transferred those applications to Sydney for final review and Sydney is doing what they know how to do best. Stall!

Let me rephrase his question adding my point of view.

Why is Ottawa delaying the security in the case of handful of us?
Here is the thing, as far as I know, CIO is responsible for the security. But, they don't do much themselves, they send to some other agencies. Again you never know, the files move a lot in the system. that is why, you don't know when it is your turn and when they are going to start working on your file. Maybe you are in front of the queue in one place, but after moving to another place in GCMS, you go at the end of the queue.
By the way, how do you know your security has not been started?

Question for people who submitted their passports to Paris VO, if any. How long does it take to get back the passports after COPR stamping?

Hey guys,

Emailing NDVO actually does help!!! Thanks for the suggestions!

So the email I got is from NDVO asking me to send passport and photographs via VFS India. Then at the end there is a section where it says:

If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa.

You are required to send your document(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address with the additional following document....

This means my VO is still Ottawa as long as I send my documents to Ottawa, right? I don't have to request for a change of VO from Delhi or something? I'm a little confused because it also says this at the end of the email:
NOTE: Your passports and photos must be received by the visa office in New Delhi within 30 days of the date of this letter. Failure to comply with this request could result in the refusal of your application. Please include a copy of this letter along with your submission.

Thanks
i also email the yesterday and got it today. what was the email address from which you got it?
i got it from donotreply-DELHI-immigration@international.gc.ca is that is geniune bcoz i email them yesterday and got it today.

Thank you, Sir!

We have been told by agents and even as per recent notes Eligibility and criminality have been marked as passed but the security has 'not started'.

This is the case with handful of us.

Would this information mean anything in this regards?

If not, we GCMS notes. Please suggest what specific information to publish here.

Thanks in advance.
@Prashant86_2000
In GCMS, the security remains "Not Started" until it actually starts. When it starts, all the info gets redacted. That is why usually people refer to first 5 activity of your notes and say if the first four were redacted and the 5th one is security not started, it means that you are under security. The reason is because activities are sorted by date and so, the last not redacted activity is security "not started", which means up to that point security was not started, but after that all the activities are related to security gets redacted.
Having said that the call center agents don't have more access than the GCMS. They last not redacted thing that they see in GCMS is security not started and they tell you that it is not started.

Hi serene
Can u share ur ip2 date and visa office ?
Any idea when ur security check started ?
Hi there,
ip2 : October 15th
Visa office: Montreal
I don't have a specific date on when my security has started, but when I called in October after I went to ip2 I was told that my criminality has passed and they are working on security, so probably around that time.

On the contrary I am hearing the second one for the first time....frankly the first and the third have worked for many I know. Haven't heard anyone mentioning the second one.

For me, nothing has worked so far. My file is in Ottawa as per the Agent I talked to on Dec 22
Prashant, is your security started?

It is on GCMS as well as stated by the agent on call.

Oh Wow! I woke up to see so many pages and activities on this thread!

First of all thanks from bottom of my heart to each and everyone who sent best wishes and congrats my way. I really appreciate it. And my apologies for being lazy and not replying by individual names or posts. There were already so many posts on this thread so I'm taking an easy way out to thank everyone by this post.

Secondly, my thanks to each and everyone who received their PPRs. It is so amazing to see people from other month AORs who actually come to this thread to share their happiness. June thread no wonder is probably the best thread on this forum.

And lastly, thanks to NDVO for issuing PPRs and bring happiness to so many people. And thanks to the good soul who discovered this route first and then lead the way for everyone else.

Last week there was a discussion and NDVO issuing PPRs was kind of considered an anomaly. But I think given the sheer number of people who have now received PPRs from NDVO it does point to some kind of process break at IRCC. I hope for everyone's sake (especially people who are not on forum and hence don't know about hack of emailing NDVO) that they fix it.

I had promised not to bring this up again but I will break that promise and say it again. People who have received their PPRs please take out sometime and go to the feedback link and make sure you give feedback to IRCC. Keep your language positive and not accusatory. I know most likely the feedback will be ignored but even if there is an iota of a chance it can help people later on I think it is a chance worth taking.

And great job @tobs to post the link to petition to Accra office. I would again request each and everyone to sign the petition.

Thank you all! And if you have reached till this line my special thank you for being patient and reading this.
