Hey there, I have a small problem there. 2 years ago I started my own business and that's why my income for 2017 was below the minimum requirement. But every other year has been well above, including 2018. Do you think we will still have a chance or is it black and white? Here's rough incomes for the past years (rounded for privacy reasons I guess)

2014: $75k - Not relevant anymore
2015: $84k - OK (min. $47,476)
2016: $89k - OK (min. $48,404)
2017: $33k - Not OK (min. $48,495)
2018: $65k - OK (min. $??,???)

Edit: I should add, that even when my parents move to Canada, my mom will receive a lifetime $2500 per month from disability benefits from back home. This might make this whole thing a bit easier, but not sure if they take things like that into consideration.
you dont meet MNI for 2017 so only one way take a spouse like a co-signer

Hey everyone! My parents uploaded only the first page in their medical report when there were 2pages. Can I re-upload/update medical report once submitted?

TIA!

how they asked to send?
IME is sent by doctor
At the end of the letter they mentioned instructions how to send documents by email but did not specify if the want the original police certificate. So i guess i could send it via email as well as the required Schedule A.

Hello everyone,
Please help me if I made the right decision, My mom who is the principal applicant and is here with me in Canada thru Super Visa, got a PPR dated Jan.4 and was given a 30 days to submit her passport together with her dependent which is my dad. My dad (dependent) is in the Philippines, so I asked him to send his passport here in my Canadian address together with the pictures they're asking thru DHL. And then I will be the one to submit to Ottawa all the passports together with the principal applicant, is that ok. or is it the right thing to do?

Hi

Does one need to file IT return in Canada for atleast 3 years to be eligible for sponsoring parents ? What if someone meets the minimum income requirements for last 3 years, but filed IT return in canada for last two years only, and for the year before that, the tax was filed in the UK ? I still had the minimum income (not in Canada though). Please advice. I wish to apply in PGP 2019. Thanks.

Nobody bothered to reply to my question ?? This forum used be much more helpful when I applied for Canadian PR in 2014-2015. :(

This question has been asked and answered multiple times in the past.

The PGP eligibility requirements page on the CIC website clearly mentions that the Income Tax needs to filed for the past 3 years AND the money has to be earned through Canadian sources.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot. It surely helps.
By the way, everything asked here on this forum can be found on CIC (as it is the ultimate source of truth as far as Canadian immigration is concerned). People come to this forum to utilize fellow applicants' knowledge on the subject (in order to avoid digging into CIC pages for every small query).

Hi everyone,

In the personal history section in the Schedule A form, do we need to add 2 weeks of vacation outside the country?
Also when they request the passport to issue the visa, do they check the old stamps in the passport?

Hi,
I've been away from here for quite some time now and noticed some threads on creating an account on cic and linking the application to it.
Is it really necessary?
I always just logged in using the application number and checked the status.
Please reply.

Thanks!

You are not required to create an account on CIC as part of PGP application. So, it’s not really “necessary”, but it helps if you want to upload some documents or check more details status of your application including all the correspondences CIC sent you.

You can find short status info on ECAS using your application number. But, MyCIC/GCKey provides much more details status info. Those accounts are useful later in the application stages. You could provide documents via email or postal services. Those online accounts makes that process much faster and safer.
