Hi Everyone. I have been a silent reader for a couple months now, and also have been silently celebrating those who have received good news re their application. I regret I did not have anything to share as I, like the majority of you were waiting. It's my time to join in - I received request for additional documents last night - the Family Information form (IMM5406). I am only applying for myself. Should I still complete the section for my parents, siblings, etc.? Or do I just put my information as the applicant. No one is expected to join me in Canada. Thanks so much for your support and input.
I believe the family information form is for applicants with dependants. I haven't seen it before but maybe @Jaywalker knows.
An ADR is a good sign these days so you should be hopeful.

Doesn't the form include a column for 'accompanying'?
I found this: "Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) has to be completed by the primary applicant and every member of the family who is over 18 years of age, whether or not they are accompanying the primary applicant to Canada."

    hi all

My gf is applying through express entry skilled worker class. She got a request to complete the IMM 5406 additional family information form. It’s just her and she lives here in Canada with me as Common Law. She’s here on work permit. Is it strange she got this request? She completed the application as CL spouse and we provided the statutory declaration form way back. She is not bringing anyone with her which was also established while completing the application.

She’ll submit the form of course but we’re just curious if anyone else has had this request?

    Thanks!

She has to provide details of her family members even if they are not accompanying her..

    About Form IMM 5406
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) has to be completed by the primary applicant and every member of the family who is over 18 years of age, whether or not they are accompanying the primary applicant to Canada.

    Who Should Apply
The primary applicant and every member of the family who is over 18 years of age, whether or not they are accompanying the primary applicant to Canada, has to complete an Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) form.

    Requirements
When completing this form, you have to include information about yourself, your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable), parents, and all children. It is very important that you list on this form any other children (even if they are already permanent residents of Canada or Canadian citizens) that you, your spouse or common-law partner or your dependent children might have who are not included in your Application for Permanent Residence. This includes married children, adopted children, step-children and any of your children who have been adopted by others, or who are in the custody of an ex-spouse or ex-common-law partner."
So, yes. Please fill all the details even if you don't have accompanying family members.

Hi everyone,

I would just to ask if anyone in this has the same case like me.

AOR-July 19
Medical Passed-August 19
Backgroung Check In Progress
Haven't started the eligibility check yet.

I called IRCC today to check on the status of my application because I am planning to apply for Bridging of Work Permit.

According to the agent that I've talked with, I already passed the R10 Completeness Check last August 2018,(probably when I passed the medical).

I am just wondering that how come that on my account in CIC, it still indicate that "Eligibility Check hasn't started"?, but as per the agent from IRCC, I already passed the R10 Completeness Check last August 2018.

Any ideas on this guys? Thank you.

Agents don't have full access and can only see know certain details.
I'd encourage you to order gcms notes to get a detailed picture of your application.

Thanks tobs. Awaiting additional input from others. I'm feeling optimistic about the additional document request, I just want to ensure I do exactly what is required.

Completeness check is totally different from background check (eligibility, criminality and security)

Okay. Nonetheless, like the links i shared suggest, you still have to fill all the details. Good luck!

Okay, thank you for the info.
My concern right now is the R10 Completeness Check, because my work permit will expire soon., and I am going for bridging of work permit.

Thanks once again.
