September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Hello,
I'm still a couple years away from applying for my citizenship, but I had a question which may affect my application. I have been in Canada for about a year (PR through PNP) and haven't been able to find a job in my NOC (1112). In this respect, will either of the following actions negatively affect my citizenship application:
1. Gaining employment in other NOCs (such as 3213, 0613 etc.) where employers are showing interest in my CV?
2. Going in for further education which is not relevant to my NOC? (I have a background in life science research, hence this dilemma).
Thank you all in advance for, hopefully, being able to respond to my query.

If you stay in the same province, it shouldn't be a problem. May be someone with more expertise in PNP cases would be able to help better.

I don't know this terminology. All it says on ECAS is Application received.

So you are not In Process yet. AOR = Application Received.

Sometimes you ask unusual question. They just send the envelop by regular mail. Regular mail means the postman put the envelop in your mailbox. No signature, nothing.

They send it thru regular mail

its just our convenience. either pdf or print it or order online for a hardcopy. Either way it is free of cost

Also, try borrowing DISCOVER CANADA from the public library, they have lots of copies.

Received AOR : 14th Dec. (for both my wife as well as myself.)

However, I noticed that the mailing address is the old address (address used for PR - back from India). So, I'll have to change it.

I did send IRCC all the info they had requested after they asked me to confirm with Canada Post about the delivery of my application to CPC-Sydney... And here's the response I got from them on Friday:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is not available in the system yet.

However, rest assured that this situation is normal since the responsible office is currently processing applications received before September 17, 2018.

We invite you to verify the processing times on the IRCC website and contact us using the IRCC Web form if they have passed.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

Me too my application was received on September 11th and it wasn't returned and I didn't get AOR either.
I am hoping for good news too

Same here guys. My application also arrived CIC Sydeny September 11 and nothing yet. I check the mail box almost everyday SMH.
