I sumitted my application for student permit on December 3rd 2018. Hope to get approve soon
We sent our application off by courier from Germany on November 30 and it arrived and was signed for in Sydney on December 7!
Since my husband (PA) has already applied to Canadian universities for fall 2019, we would love it if we managed miraculously to get approved and land by early summer, but we're not holding our breath! Based on the recent average processing times we've seen around here, we'll very likely be applying for a student permit for him in the spring as well, just to ensure he's legal to start in time.
This process already feels endless for us, and we've barely begun!
(On a related sidenote, I'd love hearing from anyone who may also have been in the very specific situation of having to get proof that their not-yet-PR spouse will be exempted from international tuition by virtue of being a dependent of a Canadian citizen. I know from looking at the university policies that he is in fact eligible for this, it's just a matter of getting proof from the university of what tuition rate he'd be paying so that we can show we have enough when we apply for his study permit -- there is no way we would be able to show enough funds on hand for him to pay the international rate, which is ~$30,000, versus ~$9,000 for domestic students!)

I sent my wife’s application last dec. 9 and it was recieved yesterday dec 13, 2018. Actually, i moved to another apartment just this week, wondering how can i change my address in case they will send it back to me? Btw, In the application I used my past address.

Btw, I called IRCC earlier and asked them if how long till we get a feedback or get an AOR from them, they told me it would take about 2 months from now coz they are still processing those application they recieved last october 2018.
Now we have 2 threads for Dec applicants. Can we all come under 1 roof by joining the other thread.

Hello all and goodluck to everyone. We sent our spousal application by courier to the processing center in Nova Scotia on Friday Dec 14 2018 and it arrived there today Monday Dec 17, 2018. We can see that it was signed by a reciever there, is that the only confirmation or feedback for right now before we hear anything about an AOR?
I am not sure its an AOR . There is no file number or Application number . I have to check with my wife to see whether she received an email from CIC .

That's great news! I didn't realize you could get online confirmation so far before the official AOR1. What information did you use? The receipt number plus PA's name?
I used my UCI number ( that's I received when I applied for my PR years ago) and my last name and date of Birth . I added my UCI in sponsorship evaluation form when I applied for the spouse visa .
Ahhhh, okay. We don't have any pre-existing UCI number, so I guess I'll have to just keep trying our receipt number and see if it works in a few days....
