Lol - I have heard - but technically that means- everything is still being done in 3 months or less! As I still don't have any change on my account on my 112th day. I wonder why start so late, when they still wish to clear the application within 6 months- so from now until Feb 20 ( as per the tracker) I should be getting my PR. That means they have less than 3 months left!! Well- my overthinking brain! You see - I am anxious!

This is a recent trend or you can increased apathy from Montreal. Many earlier cases have seen atleast eligibility test being done in 2 months timeline but many recent applications have mentioned no progress in 3 months. I think they are upgrading their torture techniques. May have been bored with previous ones. But fact is do not expect anything before Feb 2019.

Was R10 check done at CIO for you? and What date? Also, what date was your file transferred to Montreal?

My aor is July 16, r10 check Aug 2 but transferred to Montreal on Aug23 so curious when they will start their 6 month clock. It was sitting in Ottawa 3 weeks doing nothing

As per progress bar your 6 months start from July 16. But as per CIC manuals your 6 months start Aug 2.

Order notes 90 days after the file was transferred to Montreal. If it was in Ottawa and transferred in September , they will likely touch file in December. I ordered notes 3 months after AOR and they hadn't touched it. But 3 months after the file was transferred eligibilty was recommend pass. Of course the case is different if Ottawa did more than r10 completeness check and only criminality and security are pending.

How do I check that?? Sorry- I don't know that. I have my GCMS notes - should I look on that? also- where do I look for?
Yes in your GCMS notes. So R10 check would be available in the very end pages of the GCMS notes.

For file transfer look for a section called "PAPER FILE TRANSFER". This will show at what date file was moved from Visa office A to Visa office B.

If you convert your pdf notes to searchable notes than easy to find else just scroll around a bit and you should see it.

Thank you for the response @Ryu1 . One more question if you don't mind. Did the 'Background Check' status change after 1st or 2nd ghost?

My AOR is June 18th.. Eligibility was 'Recommended Pass' in first week of July per GCMS notes. I got 1st ghost on Nov 29 in CIC account and an email ghost on Nov 30 saying application is updated. However, nothing changed in the CIC account. Still in IP1.

If you can share what changed in your CIC account after each of those 2 ghosts, it will be really helpful to us that are still waiting to understand the pattern (if any at all with Montreal o_O) .

Once again, happy for you and all the best for your settlement in Canada !
One of my dependants Medicals had expired in October, and I had a ghost update for that as well. Status changed from passed Medicals to not applicable.

1st ghost update changed that back to passed Medicals.
After this, I called cic and agent confirmed I passed all except background check which was currently on its second stage

2nd update was just before my PPR mail came in.

Background check only changed when I picked up my COPR.

Sorry for the late reply at work.
