Nope!Montreal has been awfully quiet for 3 weeks now!! Any action on the WA group?
I have heard this one before. Just ignore their BS. But yes start following up on your passport starting next Monday. They are still messing up things.......
My PPR letter had a PO Box address and as I was not sure if a courier would be able deliver to a PO box address, I had raised a CSE asking for a non po box address instead of a po box address. As I did not hear back from them for quite some time and as I was 5 days away from the deadline to submit my passports, I decided to take the plunge and UPSd it to the PO box address. My envelope was delivered on Frtiday morning. Then on Friday evening, I got another PPR email in my account asking me deposit my passports at a VFS office in India.
Oh no That's awful. I was in the similar situation when i saw the PO box address on my letter but instead of raising CSE i wrote to Ottawa directly using the e-mail provided in the letter and i heard back the same day. That was the quickest response i have ever received in the process. They are still messing up things.......

Wish I had done that.......Oh no That's awful. I learnt later that most courier companies translate the PO box to an actual address.
Let see how long they take to process cases that were decided in Montreal....... hopefully there won't be another Montreal guy in Ottawa handling our casesI have heard this one before. Just ignore their BS. But yes start following up on your passport starting next Monday.
Not sure about #16 on the list. Other two were active. I think @annevn8 may be travelling as she was planning to go home for Christmas. The other person on the list had reported some ADR 2-3 weeks back.@cansha do you know if the 3 folks from April list are still waiting for PPR's? Or are they just inactive in the forum and hence we have no update?
In my observation just like hindsight is 20/20; patience as virtue is infinite when someone is not in the situation where they actually need to wait.Whatsapp is quiet. People who have crossed the 6month mark called the agents, one of them was told to wait till April, the other was lectured on the fact that six months is the avg processing time. Some are processed before and some are processed after. What a shame!!! Seems like Montreal has closed for the year.
No Merry Christmas to Montreal VO!!!
Pay them no mind. My life literally depends on this application because many things are not working for me in the US now. I don't blame them, they already have lives in Canada and a job. I don't. So yeah they can always go about rambling about the six month processing time and what have you. It is such a shameIn my observation just like hindsight is 20/20; patience as virtue is infinite when someone is not in the situation where they actually need to wait.
They can lecture on the average, median, mode, standard deviation, covariance, regression, t-test, F test or whatever they like because it's not the agents who are facing the music of their (or rather the VOs action). It is very simple to lecture someone about what needs to be done or how to face a situation till the time you are not the one facing it yourself. As I said patience is limitless when you are not the one facing the delays and same way wisdom is profound when you can blurt it out without any consequences.
But life has a strange way of biting one in the a**. I hope each and everyone of these agents who don't miss an opportunity to spread their wisdom on hapless callers get to face a situation in their life where they understand how apathy feels like from other end of the barrel. At the same time I pray that they are not in such precarious situation as us. I don't wish upon such things on anyone. But I still hope they get to see the kind of impact apathy and not knowing has on someone's sanity. Then I would happily discuss average, median, mode, and whatever data concepts they want to discuss with us.
“Additional review” that sounds scary. What’s wrong with your eligibility?I called CIC today (AOR June 14th) to see what they did to my application in last 6 months, and what was the ghost update I received on Nov 22nd.
I was told that my file was under additional review (that was the ghost update about), and my eligibility wasn’t yet done.
I asked why I did not receive any ADR, and I was told that they did not need anything from me.
What do u guys think about it? Can I expect an ADR? Do U know how long would it take for them to either clear eligibility or to send me ADR? I’m little worried, any insight will help me.
