hi, need assistance..
Got Medical and police clearance request yesterday. My mother lives with me on a super visa in Toronto, whats the easiest way to get police clearance.. is it thorough BLS ? and if so then how much time on an average they take for such a request...
Also my mother is flying back to India on Jan 3rd, so stuck with all the time line pressures cause CIC wants the docs by Jan 6th..
I got my Indian police clearance done last year through BLS. It took three weeks.

Address proof of the sponsor

Your id(passport),your status (PR card or citizenship certificate) your address proof(driving license or energy bill), your mother's passport and her 4 photos are only needed.
BLS had also asked me for photocopy of passport page with entry stamp into Canada. Its not mentioned on the website but when you go there they have it on their notice board. I did it last year.

Hi @YULIA-2016, I received my AOR on December 06, please update the sheet. Thank you.

I cannot link my parents application to my GCKey. I tried for many time but failed. May someone provide me the right instructions?

Thanks.

Hi @YULIA-2016, could you please add me to the spreadsheet:

Hello,

Does anyone know how much time will CIC allow for entering to Canada after the PR visa is received? In other words, how long is the PR visa usually valid for?
1 year from medical passed

Need expert advise

I'm looking to apply for sponsorship next year. I was going through the document checklist and found that the sponsor need a BIRTH CERTIFICATE to prove relationship with the parents being sponsored.
I'm from India and don't have a birth certificate as it was not mandatory to register at that time. I live in Canada permanently and its impossible to go back home and look for an agency to get one.

what are my options
1) Can I give my school records that has my date of birth and my parents name on it along with passport page showing my parents and my details.
2) Can I get an affidavit from a notary agent within Canada stating my birth details and my parents details.

Has anyone gone through this successfully.
kindly reply. thanks

Hi All,

I am preping for my moms sponsorship next year. On financial evaluation for parents form, question number 3.B) previous undertakings. i) number of persons included in previous undertakings you signed as sponsor that are still in effect.

Shall i put 1 since i sponsored my husband way back march 2016?
He is my co sponsor too. Thank you in advance for your help!! :)

I guess the answer to your question depends on when you will be completing the form. They are asking about undertakings which are still in effect, so if your spouse became PR on March 15, 2016, for example, and you are completing the form on March 10, 2019, you need to indicate 1 (if he has no dependents you sponsored together with him), if you complete the form on March 16, 2019, then the answer to this question will be 0, as 3 year sponsorship undertaking will be over by that time.

Today my ECASE has been updated to in process on Dec 6. Hopefully DM will be made for 1st round applicants by EoY. FYI, my app was received in Ottawa on May 24th.
