It is simply the date when your package is delivered to their Mississauga/Sydney office. Some people in this forum say things without any knowledge and with the confidence that leads to be miss information.
Hello Ahmed how R U? YOU were right ! Long wait is what we are going thru now. Don't know as per I phoned they say here my wife's eligibility is being checked ! Not even transferred to NDVO yet. I wonder how much more they will keep checking! As i see some files are sent to NDVO rt away others are not.

Good reply. But our Med Passed file is still stuck at Sydney, Phoned ; they say checking Eligibility of Applicant. I dont know how many months it takes for checking her Eligibility :( What I felt is most cases MED is done while file is in Canada as our file still has to go to NDVO where she (wife) is living
don't worry and pray they will not send it to nvdo. they will process it in canada only so that the process will be faster then nvdo:D

I will take that as a positive sign as some of the files are currently processed at Canadian office i.e. Mississauga. If they are processing your eligibility that means they have started working on your file. Now, if they find that your case needs a thorough examination, then they will send the file to Local Visa Office i.e. NDVO. Stay positive

NDVO process is pretty much fast itself unlike LVO. So its win win situation
i hope so they will process my file faster, bcz it took 4 months to get aor for me :D

12 month processing time starts when they receive your application regardless of the AOR1.

This is wrong. AOR1 can take 3 to 4 months after receiving the application. Processing of application starts from the time they receive application.
ONE AOR took over 180 days record breaker delay

since jan 2017....medical are required to be submitted up front.....you submit your application and later in the process IRCC sends you the request for medical exam.......sponsor may call IRCC
