It has been 3 weeks of Decision Made on Ecas and invitational letter, but no passport request from cic. Any idea how long could have to wait more?

But the first requirement are passports? What are the different between the first and the third requirement? Sorry for bothering.

  • Passport, travel or identity document (including the secure visa counterfoil (IMM 1346), if applicable),
  • Confirmation of PR (IMM 5688) and instructions issued by the Canadian visa office,
  • (If applicable) Any immigration document in your possession (whether valid or not),
  • (If applicable) Proof of implied status, such as:
    • payment receipt,
    • printout of online application;
    • copy of your paper application to extend your stay,
    • proof of mailing, etc.,

It says if applicable, so it means only if you have these documents. For example, Study Permit, Work Permit, Refugee Claimant Document.

Some people have some country Travel Documents (instead of passports) or Geneva issued UN Travel Documents...so basically any that shows residency of a country or allows you to travel.

Hi Yulia or any expert please help,

I applied for parents sponsorship in 2017 while parents here on visitor visa. Then applied for visitor extension in May 2018 and they underwent upfront medical in May 2018 for visitor extension. Two weeks after that in May 2018 parents got request to undergo medical for permanent residence application. We informed cic that they had medical done for visitor extension. Then we got medical furtherance two times, every time results came back better, last test in October and now in November we got procedural fairness letter because of kidney issues.

Now the question is that in both fairness letters, there’s same IME number but on procedural fairness letter there’s totally different IME number. Myunderstanding was that there should same IME number for one person. Please give opinion

Sorry for the lengthy post

If i were you I would get a lawyer specialized in medical inadmisibility to give you advise. I would suggest Sharma in calgary. You need to respond correctly to avoid being rejected. Worth the money. Just my advise. This cases are not easy to win

hi Yulia,

I haven't been able to update my status for my parents. They have completed their landing on Nov. 10, 2018. Thanks for all your help and good luck to all those who are in process and still waiting.

Hello All, My parents have arrived In Toronto, Canada and done their landing procedure. While waiting for the PR card, today we have received a letter for both parents to send the photos for the PR card as their previous photos did not meet the specifications. The photos need to be emailed with the letter to the specified address within 30 days. Now, to be sure , can I send the letter and photos of both parents together in same envelope as they need to be sent to the same address.

Anyone experiences the same? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
