i have scheduled an appointment with panel physician at 2065 FINCH AVENUE WEST (North York) this Sunday (Oct 28, 2018). They will charge $240. I was curious if anyone knows how long the process takes from medical approval to next step? because my work permit is expiring by November 2018. Besides, if anyone can suggest me if i need to apply now or should just wait for the passport request.

In Montréal, it cost $ 225 if you are 15 years or older.

Process takes 10-12 months. Thats the best we can tell you as every case is different. After medical is background check and it is the longest part of the process (takes on average 4-6 months).

Hi all, just found this forum and thought I'd share our journey:

We're just concerned that we haven't been able to link the PR application nor the OWP! If the PR correspondence continues to be sent by email I'm fine with that, however is any OWP correspondence sent by email?

Update: Just successfully linked both applications. We noticed the UCI that was on the AOR was different than the one that appeared on the medical request document we just received. With this new UCI, everything worked.

From the date of the letter for the medical request, you have 30 days to complete the medical.

I scheduled my medical locally, it'll be completed on the 30th day. I had the option of traveling 4 hours if I wanted it within 2-3 weeks, but I just started a new job with my OWP, so I'm hopeful that my medical will be processed by the doctor same or next day.

As I know, you need to do 3 things. Panel, x-ray, and the lab test. So are you doing all 3 at the 30th day?


For the the other people, mine will end up around $400. About $250 for panel+$75 for x-ray+$45 lab. I'm in Alberta.

I made a call today. Mine it will cost $250+50+100 for the x-ray. I wish it could be cheaper

Question, how was the OWP received July 12th, when the application was sent July 18th? I ask because after linking to the CIC it says OWP received July 11th when we only sent the PR+OWP application July 17th! So wondering if its an internal error on their end or if there's a logical explanation I'm missing.
